  1. SA 131-4published at 20 overs

    (Lee 69* from 61 balls)

Having made her fourth T20 fifty, Lee now has her highest T20 score, beating her previous best of 67 against Pakistan. She thumps the first ball of the final over from Gunn down the ground for four. What a turnaround from 6-3! Will it be enough? We shall find out shorttly.

  2. 6 runs

    SA 122-4published at 19 overs

Lee likes that late cut, another perfectly executed stroke bringing her a seventh four as Sciver drops short, and what a cameo from Tryon, one step down, a huge backlift and a scything blow over mid-wicket for six penneth.

  3. 6 runs

    SA 110-4published at 18 overs

    (Lee 58, Tryon 6)

The boundaries are in quite a way down the ground but that would have been six at many venues, Lee laying into the returning Shrubsole, who looked unplayable in the early stages. Chloe Tryon, is, well, trying it on too, a delightful late cut bringing four more to the total.

  4. SA 96-4published at 17 overs

    (Lee 50, Tryon 0)

After that first over that went for 15, just the two singles conceded by Gunn.

"Knight did well to recover. The first bit of fielding came off her feet, and you can see, with the situation of the game, why South Africa attempted the second run. But that run-out could have a big impact."

Derek Parry: This is looking like a good SA side after the start they have played well and could post a competitive total.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.1 overs

Du Preez run out 39 (SA 95-4)

Well the fielding has been a shade on the shoddy side but that was fabulous from Knight, hurling the ball into the middle stump from mid-off having initially fumbled it and the captain is well short of her ground.

  8. Umpire reviewpublished at 09:00 Greenwich Mean Time 21 February 2016

England are confident here with a direct hit from Heather Knight.

  9. SA 94-3published at 16 overs

The elegant, slightly built Du Preez gives herself some room and hoicks Farrant to the fine leg boundary. Lee gets an inside edge that loops to safety and Du Preez launches a hook that goes high and handsome but stops inches short of the ropes.

"This fightback has been incredible. Lee has been the key - her shot selection is incredible. If Tryon comes in and comes off, you never know what score might be possible."

  11. SA 85-3published at 15 overs

    (Lee 46, Du Preez 32)

You get the feeling Charlotte will be asked about the fielding. Another misfield, this time from Dani Hazell off Sciver, might not have cost anything but she sends in a needless throw that is over Taylor's head and results in a run.

  13. SA 80-3published at 14 overs

The field is well spread as Farrant returns. There is a full toss and some general variations of length but no boundaries are conceded.

"With this England team, it's not a lack of commitment - you sense they're nervous in the field. Some of the fielding would have been embarrassing at schoolboy level."

  15. SA 75-3published at 13 overs

    (Lee 40, Du Preez 28)

Lee pummels another boundary and Du Preez skips down the wicket to thump another off Knight as the partnership builds towards dangerous territory for England. Will they bring back Shrubsole for her remaining over?

  17. SA 64-3 (Lee 34, Du Preez 23)published at 12 overs

Two misfields from Tammy Beaumont, right in front of the South Afria dug-out. They wouldn't have had anything disparaging surely? I can imagine Charlotte Edwards would not have been too happy though. The second one goes through the long barrier and allows four runs off Hazell.

  18. SA 56-3published at 11 overs

    (Lee 33, Du Preez 16)

Heather Knight into the attack and her first ball flies off the edge and away for four. The fifty partnership arrives from 55 balls.

  19. SA 49-3published at 10 overs

    (Lee 32, Du Preez 10)

Just singles in the Hazell over but having been 6-3 South Africa will settle for this at the halfway point. They are the only women's team to make 200 in T20 internationals but they will have some work to do if they are going to get there today. Mind you, if Lee stays in...

  20. dropped catch

Lee dropped on 30published at 9 overs

    SA 47-3

The first maximum! Lizelle Lee, having hit the unorthodox action of Jenny Gunn for four, then launches her over extra cover AB de Villiers-style. The elegant right-hander then plays a delightful late cut for four more and to complete an eventful over Heather Knight drops a difficult running chance on the long-off boundary.
