The boundaries are in quite a way down the ground but that would have been six at many venues, Lee laying into the returning Shrubsole, who looked unplayable in the early stages. Chloe Tryon, is, well, trying it on too, a delightful late cut bringing four more to the total.

After that first over that went for 15, just the two singles conceded by Gunn.

Derek Parry: This is looking like a good SA side after the start they have played well and could post a competitive total.

The elegant, slightly built Du Preez gives herself some room and hoicks Farrant to the fine leg boundary. Lee gets an inside edge that loops to safety and Du Preez launches a hook that goes high and handsome but stops inches short of the ropes.

You get the feeling Charlotte will be asked about the fielding. Another misfield, this time from Dani Hazell off Sciver, might not have cost anything but she sends in a needless throw that is over Taylor's head and results in a run.

The field is well spread as Farrant returns. There is a full toss and some general variations of length but no boundaries are conceded.

Just singles in the Hazell over but having been 6-3 South Africa will settle for this at the halfway point. They are the only women's team to make 200 in T20 internationals but they will have some work to do if they are going to get there today. Mind you, if Lee stays in...
