I have outlined my reasoning below. I'm not saying I wouldn't have picked Stokes. I'm just surprised so many did and wonder whether others agree.
I also don't think he was named Wisden cricketer of the year for his T20 performances...

That said, cricket is about more than just numbers.
When you need someone to step up, you know Ben Stokes will be there wanting to be involved.
Your number five, and the player you selected more than any other, is England's Ben Stokes.
Now, I am absolutely not debating his skills as a cricketer. He is outstanding. One of the world's best.
But, I am just a little surprised so many of you picked him in a T20 XI. Stokes' numbers are nothing special. He has never scored a T20 fifty in international cricket.

If this debate was picking the best T20 batsman ever then AB de Villiers would be right up there.
An incredible, unique player who hits shots that make your jaw drop.
He has done the business in most leagues around the world, including for Middlesex in the T20 Blast in the UK. This 88 from 35 balls last summer was majestic.

Just to say, you'll see the videos, like the one of a Warner six below, are from ODI cricket rather than T20s. You still get the jist I'm sure.
Warner's inclusion means there is no place for Rohit Sharma who was looking for a clean sweep of Test, ODI and T20 XIs.
The India opener got 22% of the vote. West Indies' Sunil Narine, who has occasionally opened as a pinch-hitter, was picked by 25% of you.
