    Tim Bresnan has departed shortly before Warwickshire can edge ahead in their first innings against Derbyshire at Edgbaston.

    Bresnan is bowled by Luis Reece for 35 with the Bears seven runs shy of drawing level on 182-6.

    At Trent Bridge meanwhile, Tom Moores (44 not out) and Brett Hutton (34 not out) are continuing to rebuild for Nottinghamshire with a 50 partnership for the eighth wicket.

    Notts now 193-7 in reply to Durham's 330.

    Group 2 update

    Gloucestershire have been bowled out for 326 by Surrey at Bristol, but with a really healthy first-innings advantage.

    Reece Topley finishes with figures of 5-66.

    Elsewhere in Middlesex's group, Leicestershire continue to struggle against Hampshire. They're now 171-6 after losing a couple of wickets this morning, including a direct hit by James Vince to run out Colin Ackermann.

    They still trail by 441.

    Somerset needed an early wicket and they've got one.

    Nick Gubbins tries a cut shot but edges Craig Overton to slip where Lewis Gregory holds onto a sharp chance.

    It's a third wicket for Overton.

    There's a Root brother batting at Headingley, but not the England captain.

    Billy (26 not out) has resumed his second dig for visitors Glamorgan as they look to build their lead well beyond 200 alongside his captain Chris Cooke (21 not out).

    Their fifth-wicket partnership worth 44 so far.

    A lead of 228 with eight second-innings wickets in hand.

    Somerset might be hoping for the rain that is forecast at Lord's a bit later on.

    It's set to be another chilly day across the country with a chance of rain in the south of England and the possibility of some showers elsewhere.
