  1. Postpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273 v Warwickshire 0-0

Stuart Broad has the new ball as clouds roll over Trent Bridge.

Not what Will Rhodes and Rob Yates will want to see.

  2. Postpublished at 18:34 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Kent v Yorkshire 351-8

Steven Patterson (33 not out) and David Willey (24 not out) have turned the tide back in Yorkshire's favour with a 54-run unbroken stand.

We've got just three overs left in the day, one which has definitely belonged to the white rose county.

  3. wicket

Nottinghamshire 273 all outpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

In all the excitement of Worcestershire's hat-trick chance, Tim Bresnan got two wickets in three balls for Warwickshire to end Nottinghamshire's innings.

Liam Patterson-White was left stranded with a career-best 73 not out.

Work to do for the Bears who had Nottinghamshire at 182-7 at one point. There's still 10 overs left until close at Trent Bridge too.

  4. Close of playpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 264-8 v Derbyshire

Stumps at Old Trafford too and it's hard to tell who's got the advantage.

Northamptonshire kept chipping away at their opponents, never letting them get out of arm's reach.

Josh Bohannon top scored with 68 while Tom Taylor and Simon Kerrigan both have three wickets.

    An intriguing day tomorrow then.

  5. Close of playpublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 312 v Gloucestershire 13-0

Gloucestershire have made it through the final three overs unscathed to close on 13-0.

I still think Somerset have edged the first day having been put in, with Steven Davies standing out with 87.

  6. Postpublished at 18:25 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 338-6 v Worcestershire

Fynn Hudson-Prentice gets a solid bat behind the ball.

Still, a great over for the Pears.

  7. Postpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 338-6 v Worcestershire

    Everybody in close...

  8. wicket

WICKET - Dal (Barnard lbw) 0published at 18:23 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 338-6 v Worcestershire

Two in two. Barnard is on a hat-trick.

  9. wicket

WICKET - Critchley (Barnard lbw) 109published at 18:23 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Derbyshire 338-5 v Worcestershire

Breakthrough. Ed Barnard gets the wicket Worcestershire wanted, trapping Matthew Critchley for 109.

A superb knock comes to an end although it remains advantage Worcestershire.

Anuj Dal is the new man in.

  10. Postpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Hampshire 267-8 v Middlesex

We're into the final eight overs of the day at Southampton.

Kyle Abbott is ticking along nicely, onto 34 from 97 balls, as Hampshire edge towards a third batting point.

    Any late drama to come?

  11. Postpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 64-0

A brilliant start from Sussex openers Aaron Thomason (36 not out) and Tom Haines (24 not out) who are building an excellent platform for their side with their opening stand.

    Ten overs remain in Cardiff.

  12. Postpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 96 v Durham 127-4

Durham captain Scott Borthwick looks in great form today.

He's strolled to 87 off 106 balls and is on course to reach 100 before stumps.

I don't think he ever imagined that would be the case when his side lost the toss and were made to field at the start of the day.

  13. Postpublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Nottinghamshire 273-8 v Warwickshire

Liam Patterson-White has raced past his previous career-best of 58 not out.

Now on 73, alongside Zak Chappell on 21, he's frustrating Warwickshire's bowlers who once again are having problems cleaning up the tail.

The Bears had Nottinghamshire at 182-7, but this game is rapidly racing into the hosts' favour.

  14. Postpublished at 18:12 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Surrey v Leicestershire 176-3

It's been fairly slow-going at The Oval, although Sam Evans remains unbeaten on 84.

But captain Colin Ackermann is no longer keeping him company, having been trapped in front by Jordan Clark.

  15. Postpublished at 18:07 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Lancashire 252-8 v Northamptonshire

A second batting point for Lancashire who creep past 250.

Tom Hartley and Saqib Mahmood have both reached eight not out without ever looking in control.

There's just five overs left in this one. Will the pair survive until close of play?

  16. Postpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Glamorgan 285 v Sussex 36-0

Sussex openers Aaron Thomason (20) and Tom Haines (16) have done really well, surviving the first 10 overs of the session without too much drama.

With under 13 overs to be bowled I'm sure it'll be a case of blocking them out till stumps shortly.

  17. wicket

Somerset 312 all outpublished at 18:02 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

Marchant de Lange attempts another aggressive stroke but can only spoon Matt Taylor's deliver straight up into the air for a straightforward catch for Tom Lace.

Somerset are 312 all out having been put in.

Gloucestershire have three awkward overs to face before the close.

  18. Postpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Essex 96 v Durham 114-4

    Two quick wickets for Essex.

First Simon Harmer has David Bedingham caught behind by Tom Westley in the slips, before Sam Cook bowls Sam Burnham.

Durham captain Scott Borthwick remains at the crease on 79 not out though. He's the only player that's looked comfortable batting on this pitch today.

  19. Postpublished at 17:58 British Summer Time 15 April 2021

    Somerset 312-9 v Gloucestershire

Dominic Goodman has a wicket on his first-class debut for Gloucestershire.

The 20-year-old has Josh Davey caught at first slip by Kraigg Brathwaite for 17.

Jack Leach joins Marchant de Lange in the middle.

A brilliant knock from Matthew Critchley who reaches his century off just 137 balls with 10 fours.

He rightly raises his bat to the dressing room.

Minutes later and his partner Harvey Hosein brings up his 50.

It's been a brilliant 120-run stand and it looks set to grow further.
