Danni Wyatt is an absolute whippet when it comes to running between the wickets.

  2. Brave 49-1published at Ball 35

Some good running between the wickets brings Wyatt a few more runs - she is pushing Dunkley hard out there with the quick singles.

  3. Brave 47-1published at Ball 33

Sophie Ecclestone goes up for a big lbw shout against Sophia Dunkley, but it's given not out and Ecclestone seems pretty content with not reviewing it.

    Maybe she hit it?

When I think of Danni Wyatt, that shot up and over extra cover is the first thing I imagine.

    Shot!

Danni Wyatt and hitting the ball over extra cover go together like ... I'm not sure, but either way, it works. She picks up another four and the wicket of Mandhana doesn't seem to have fazed her at all.

Alex Hartley into the attack - and it looks like she was in good form before the match too.

We're having some more spin with Alex Hartley coming on to bowl.

Emma Lamb pulls off a Superman dive on the boundary to save a glorious shot from Danni Wyatt from going for four, but it seems she's hurt herself.

She leaves the field - it's unclear what's happened but she did land quite awkwardly.

Smriti Mandhana was trying to move her feet and Hannah Jones just held it back. It didn't sound crisp and clean off the bat.

  9. Brave 36-1published at Ball 25

That's been a very good powerplay for the Brave, just short of the highest powerplay total in the women's competition so far (41) but the Originals will be delighted to have got rid of Mandhana.

    The Originals really needed that.

Hannah Jones conceded a four from her second ball, but fights back well as Mandhana hits one quite low on her bat that just loops up to Kate Cross for a simple catch.

There were people queueing outside the ground to get in when I grabbed some food earlier.

The pace bowling seems to be working a bit better for the Originals, as Cross goes for just two from her set of five. A good comeback for the captain having watched her spinners get smashed around a bit.

Despite the rather glum weather, it looks like a pretty decent crowd at Old Trafford.

At the moment, wherever Kate Cross is fielding she's having to crane her head upwards and watch the ball go above it.

  14. Brave 27-0published at Ball 15

This is not the start that Kate Cross would've wanted when she won the toss and chose to bowl.

Another four from Wyatt to finish Emma Lamb's first set of five and Cross brings herself back on.

It's always a good sign when a batter is using their feet well. We've seen both Smriti Mandhana and Danni Wyatt come down to the bowlers already.

  16. Brave 22-0published at Ball 13

Brave are really going for it.

Smriti Mandhana dances down the pitch to Emma Lamb's second ball and sweeps the next to hit two fours in a row.

  17. Brave 14-0published at Ball 10

And she finishes the set of 10 with a second four. Pressure on the Originals already.

That's a lovely shot and a fine piece of timing from Danni Wyatt. It's a positive start in the first set of 10.

  19. Brave 10-0published at Ball 7

Danni Wyatt is not going to ease herself in. She whacks Ecclestone's second ball for four.

Probably the right way to go if there's rain due.

  20. Brave 6-0published at Ball 6

As predicted, Sophie Ecclestone is on to bowl straight away.

It looks so windy out there. Her long ponytail is all over the place - maybe that's why some of the women's players bowl in their caps?
