It's not a 185 all out pitch. There is a bit in it but no real demons. It could've easily been a pitch you'd bat first on.

The series has been highlighted by small but important moments, like dropped catches and Dawid Malan getting out before lunch today.

Tomorrow is important. The pitch will quicken up which could favour the bowlers but if Australia dominate again tomorrow, the series is gone.

Winning the toss was exactly what was required. Unfortunately for England it went the other way and that last ball just summed up their entire day, a good ball sneaking through the slips for four.

They've got to come back tomorrow ready to bounce back and try and find a way back in.

Ben Stokes hangs the ball outside off sump in consecutive deliveries but Marcus Harris leaves them well alone.

Marcus Harris has strapped his protective gear back on and is ready to face five more balls before what will be the close of play.

I remember bowling and ripping an entire toenail off and carrying on. Don't need the physio for that.

Nathan Lyon survives.

England will try to squeeze in another couple of overs, although Marcus Harris has been pinged on the glove by Ben Stokes and is receiving treatment on a finger injury which will kill a few minutes.

Stokes' over will probably be the last of the day.

Harris fidgets at one outside off stump but the bite England's slip cordon are waiting for doesn't come.
