With the batting line-up failing around her the England captain has reached her century from 213 balls, hardly offering a chance.

The next highest score is just 15 with England 180-8, trailing by 157.

England are 168-7 and still need 20 to avoid the follow-on.

Despite a review she fell lbw to Ellyse Perry.

England are 38-2 at lunch, still 299 behind after Australia declared on 337-9.

Katherine Brunt took two wickets at the start of play - one an absolute beauty to bowl Annabel Sutherland - to claim her third Test five-wicket haul, more than 16 years after her first.

England are 20-1 after 10 overs at drinks as they reply to Australia's 337-9 declared.

The tourists lost Lauren Winfield-Hill for four in the third over.

She was caught at second slip after playing a disappointing waft to 18-year-old seamer Darcie Brown.

Since then Tammy Beaumont and Heather Knight have battled well, Australia maybe bowling a little wide.

It's gloomy and there is a lot of batting to be done.
