Phoenix 35-3published at Ball 30
Parkinson is such a wily customer. So much invention and wit. He keeps Moeen and Bell-Drummond guessing and is unable to get him away.

Brilliant start from Matt Parkinson just outside the off stump and Liam Livingstone's eyes lit up trying to hit that away.
Terrific low catch from Fred Klaassen.
Livingstone c Klaassen b Parkinson 12 (Phoenix 33-3)
Lancashire does Lancashire!
Matt Parkinson's first ball finds an edge from Liam Livingstone and Klaassen dives in to catch.
THE wicket for the Originals. I think Parkinson might let Livingstone know about that when they're back on county duty.
Livingstone looks for one scoop but the shortness of the ball foxes him. Not on his second attempt though. Uses the pace and finds the rope. Clever.
Excellent from Klaassen. Taking a leg line and cramping the Phoenix pair.
Oh, how he has managed to get that away? Bell-Drummond pulls and doesn't seem to clock it, but there is enough raw power to take it to the rope.

It's been a terrific atmosphere so far in this competition.
The noise we had earlier in the game when Sophie Ecclestone came out to bat was something I've never experienced before.

The roar when that catch was taken was incredible.
It's not just because the FX are turned up in my headphones is it?
Hammond c Lammondby b Finn 13 (Phoenix 21-2)
OUT!
Steven Finn strikes with a little cutter that takes the pace off and makes Hammond miss time. He sends an aerial hit straight to Tom Lammonby in the deep.
Originals on a roll.
Livingstone nearly takes Hartley's hands on with a straight hit. The spinner will not have enjoyed sticking his palms on that to stop it.
Wait, was that a chance? It was you know. Would have been some catch!

Liam Livingstone is just able to manipulate the field in the powerplay.
A bit of a tricky start for Phoenix after losing an early wicket but he's not at all phased by that.
Hartley switches ends. And is greeted by a reverse slap from Hammond down to wide fine leg for four. Great invention.
An excellent start from Freddy Klaassen is tarnished somewhat by Liam Livingstone dancing down to slam a four straight down the ground.
The bat speed is something else.

I don't blame the crowd.
Liam Livingstone did get offered a deal to play for the Originals and he turned it down so he went to play for Phoenix instead.
A few boos for the man of the moment. All in good spirit, of course.

It's taking turn in a big way this pitch.
There were a couple I bowled earlier that really spat. There's a spot just outside the off stump that will continue to cause a few problems I'm sure.
Allen c Buttler b Klassen 1 (Phoenix 9-1)
GONE!
Brilliant ball. Short of a length, moves away, takes the edge and slams into Buttler's gloves. Big early wicket.
Klassen in the wickets again.
Another wide. Wild from the wildcard.
