Virat Kohli, my goodness. If looks could kill he would have murdered about 10 people right now.

  3. Not outpublished at 17:34 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2021

Not out! It's harsh because it was such a great attempt and he had hold of it for a fair while before the ball was grounded.

A spectacular catch from Jadeja? Or is it? He ran in from the deep, dived full length and took a superb catch. The ball was just nestled between his fingers and it may have touched the ground as he fell stomach first.

That will please Virat Kohli a little bit.

    Nabi c Jadeja b Shami 35 (Afg 126-6)

Captain Mohammad Nabi is searching for some late runs to improve his team's net run-rate. He swings and it's high but doesn't have the legs. Ravi Jadeja takes a simple catch in the deep.

Former IPL batter on BBC Test Match Special

I can't see Virat Kohli's face but he must be fuming as there has been some poor bowling by the Indian bowlers the last couple of overs. They have given far too many runs away that they should have.

If they win by 60/70 runs it is not enough, they should be winning by 80/90 runs to help the run-rate.

  8. Afg 125-5published at 18 overs

A very, very good over for Afghanistan - 20 from it. India have been a tad complacent in these final overs.

Aamer Iqbal: Stunning performance from India today. Complete opposite to the dismal performance against New Zealand. Harsh words must have been said.

  10. Afg 120-5published at 17.3 overs

More runs as Nabi picks the slower ball and pulls for four.

Nabi delivers a powerful blow as Thakur is launched back down the ground for six.

India are like Deontay Wilder. Batter and bully weaker opponents, but couldn't do it against better opponents in the same way as Wilder did with Tyson Fury.

More freebies for Afghanistan as Bumrah bowls consecutive wides outside off stump. The bowler corrects his line to finish with two dots.

It's a smart shot against a bowler of Bumrah's class, just using the pace of the delivery.

  15. Afg 107-5published at 16.3 overs

Important runs for Afghanistan's net run-rate as Nabi drills a full toss to the cover boundary.

  16. Afg 102-5published at 16.1 overs

A bouncer from Bumrah holds back in the turf. Janat swats it toward long-on and there's a rare misfield from Ravi Jadeja in the deep to gift Afghanistan four.

  17. Afg 98-5published at 16 overs

Just before that six, I spotted a woman in the Abu Dhabi crowd snoozing away, her head resting on a pal's shoulder.

Afghanistan need 113 runs to win from 24 balls. Probably the most useless piece of information you'll ever need to know.

Finally something for the Afghanistan fans to cheer. It's been a bit of a mis-match today.

  19. 6 runs

    Afg 95-5published at 15.2 overs

Janat gets underneath the ball to launch Thankur over the leg side. It's high, it's just about far enough, and it's six.
