Pepper started the last five of the powerplay with a glorious shot, lofted over extra cover for four before Lyth added a boundary of his own.

He lifted the ball just over Madsen's head at short third and the ball bobbled away to the rope.

In short-form cricket I can see the logic in Jos Buttler not having the gloves. Eoin Morgan was always fielding near the bowlers to have a word in their ear.

Faf du Plessis was trying to take a single after hitting straight back to the bowler! Next ball he has biffed Sean Abbott in the stands for six to add insult to injury.
