  1. Who will take the win?

Thumbs up for Phoenix. Thumbs down for Superchargers.

  2. How they line up

Birmingham Phoenix: Sophie Devine (c), Eve Jones, Amy Jones (wk), Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molineux, Issy Wong, Emily Arlott, Georgia Elwiss, Gwenan Davies, Kirstie Gordon, Abtaha Maqsood.

Northern Superchargers: Alyssa Healy (wk), Gaby Lewis, Bess Heath, Laura Wolvaardt, Hollie Armitage (c), Alice Davidson-Richards, Jenny Gunn, Linsey Smith, Beth Langston, Lucy Higham, Katie Levick.

  3. Superchargers win the toss and bowl

    Supercharges win the toss

Hollie Armitage calls correctly and puts Sophie Devine's team into bat.

Devine says her team are ready to give the home crowd something to cheer.

  4. Key match-up

The team in Orange look like a really well-oiled machine with both home and overseas players putting in stellar performances. We saw some incredible fielding from them against the Trent Rockets in their dominant victory on Monday with some world-class catches especially from overseas star Ellyse Perry.

It's the Australian who we've picked out as part of our key match-up today. She's still recovering from a back injury but has more than made up for it with the bat and in the field so far this season. She smashed 58 from 31 in her first game and 39* off 28 in her second so it's safe to say she's in good knick and showing the aussie selectors what they've been missing. Captain Sophie Devine will be hopeful this form continues as her side ride high into today's home fixture.

For the Superchargers, it's fan-favourite Alice Davidson-Richards (ADR). The all-rounder is not only the smiliest in women's cricket but can also make things happen with both bat and ball. She took 2-20 in their victory of the London Spirit and could be key to the removal of a fellow all-rounder.

But who will be smiling at the end of the game?

    Ellyse Perry and Alice Davidson-Richards
  5. Lewis in for injured Rodrigues

The Indian batter is out with a wrist injury

    Jemimah Rodrigues of Northern Superchargers

Overseas star and adopted northerner Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the rest of the Hundred with a wrist injury sustained during the Commonwealth Games.

Her replacement is Ireland's Gaby Lewis.

This is the second year 21-year-old Lewis has come in as a replacement for an Indian player after she joined Southern Brave in place of Smriti Mandhana last year.

Upon her call-up she said: "I am excited to be returning to play in the Hundred once again, after getting a taste for the competition last year. It will be a juggle of commitments between Ireland and the Superchargers, but I am keen to ensure I can contribute to both teams as fully as I can."

Despite her age, Lewis brings a wealth of talent and experience with her. She first played for Ireland at the age of 13 and has also recently captained the side in the absence of Laura Delaney.

Her stats speak for themselves. With a highest T20I score of 105* she is not afraid to have a whack and she score a nifty 47 against Pakistan last month so is in good knick.

At the Fairbreak Invitational in May, Lewis was an anchor at the top of the innings and nabbed herself a player of the match award for an innings of 62* from 57.

She's the sole Irish representative in the women's Hundred but that won't scare her. She's got the luck of the Irish all to herself that way!

    Gabby Lewis
  6. Friday Funday!

    Evelyn Jones

You made it... it's finally Friday! And what a party we've got lined up for you with a Birmingham Phoenix versus Northern Superchargers double-header.

Birmingham Phoenix will take to fortress Edgbaston in a bid to maintain their unbeaten record (2 from 2) this season while the Northern Superchargers, who currently sit fourth in the table, are looking to recover from a nine-wicket loss to the Oval Invincibles.

The temperature outside may have cooled down a bit but I can guarantee you that there is nothing cold (but maybe some super cool characters) about the women's Hundred right now.
