It's been a tale of two halves. The first 25 definitely belonged to the Oval Invincibles but since then it's been the Marcus Stoinis show. The Hulk show.

  2. Brave 66-2published at 55 balls

What would Oval Invincibles give for a bowling attacking of Sunil Narines?

Just three off his next set of five, seven off ten balls in total. Brilliant from the wily off-spinner

No wonder he has been asked to bowl the next set...

  4. Brave 63-2published at 50 balls

This is a good response from Tom Curran, who goes for just four runs from his latest set of five.

Still, these two batters look well set and certainly in a position to accelerate after that poor start in the power play.

We have seen some brilliant catches so far in this year's Hundred and this is one of them from Rilee Rossouw to dismiss Quinton de Kock.

I think the Hulk has been made angry and you don't want to make the Hulk angry.

    What a shot.

It is stand and deliver for Marcus Stoinis as he plays a baseball-style shot into the leg side for another huge six.

Stoinis stares menacingly towards where the ball disappeared. He looks in the zone.

There's something absolutely wonderful about the intenstiy Sam Curran brings to the game.

It's not wonderful what he does to his hair. When those of us who aren't blessed with hair see it dealt with in such a fashion, it causes us such grief.

  9. 6 runs

    Brave 51-2published at 41 balls

    Make that 25 from 15!

Marcus Stoinis has leapt into a Sam Curran slower ball and absolutely walloped him back over his head for a huge six.

  10. Brave 45-2published at 40 balls

    Four more.

It's a lovely shot from Marcus Stoinis as he shuffles his feet and works the ball into the off side and perfectly dissects the two boundary riders.

Stoinis has moved on to 19 from 14 deliveries.

  11. Brave 38-2published at 36 balls

Just the four runs and a leg by from Sunil Narine's first five. He is so difficult to read.

Some more conventional spin from Danny Briggs follows and Marcus Stoinis is not having any of it. Clattering his first ball through the off side for four.

  12. Brave 29-2published at 30 balls.

Ooh, James Vince had no idea where that was.

Mohammad Hasnain gets one to rush on Vince who can't get through his pull shot and the ball loops safely into the leg side.

Time for some spin and for the last time in this year's Hundred, Sunil Narine.

The Invincibles must be really happy with the way have started, they have bowled really well, especially Reece Topley. The pitch does not look as good as it did earlier.

A collective noun for a group of Currans is 'an unnecessarily atrocious haircut of Currans.'

  15. Brave 29-2published at 26 balls

That's more like it. New bowler Mohammad Hasnain is too wide first up and James Vince smashes it away for four.

  17. Brave 25-2published at 25 balls

Tom Curran's first five goes for just three runs to complete a dominant power play by Oval Invincibles.

A lot of work now ahead of James Vince and Marcus Stoinis.

  18. ouch!

    Brave 19-2published at 22 balls

Ouch! Tom Curran has got one to jag back in and smack Marcus Stoinis in the lower abdominal region (you know where I mean).

Stoinis is flat on his back in pain. Tom Curran can only laugh rather manically. Harsh, Tom. Harsh.

Luckily the Aussie is made of tough stuff and is soon able to continue.

  19. Brave 19-2published at 20 balls

Yep here's Marcus Stoinis to try and dig Southern Brave out of a increasingly large hole as Tom Curran comes into the attack.

Going for that big heave to the leg side but he got an underedge.

    Now here comes The Hulk!
