  1. WICKET

    Winfield-Hill lbw b Gaur 3 (Invincibles 11-1)

    Gone! Hitting halfway up middle.

Mahika Gaur was ramping up the pressure with so many dot balls and something had to give.

Lauren Winfield-Hill tried the inventive shot but once she missed, she was in bother.

Once it was confirmed there wasn't a tickle on it, that was plumb. A deserved wicket for Mahika Gaur.

  2. Post update

    No bat involved.

  3. Originals review

Big appeal for lbw as Mahika Gaur hits Lauren Winfield-Hill on the pad as the batter moved across and tried to ramp.

If there's no bat then she might be in trouble.

  4. Post update

    James Anderson

    England bowler on BBC Two

Invincibles openers have got to try and do something different here.

They're not really going anywhere. They're trying to play Mahika Gaur with traditional cricket shots but she's bowling so consistently, it's not working.

I'd like to see them try a ramp or moving in the crease to get themselves runs, but to also try and put her off.

  5. Invincibles 11-0

    Suzie Bates

Having been tied down superbly by Mahika Gaur for a few balls, Suzie Bates decides she has to change things up.

She skips down to the left-hander and thumps an on-drive. It looks four all the way but Sophie Ecclestone dives from mid-on and saves three.

  6. Superchargers slip to 0-2

Elsewhere in The Hundred, the Northern Superchargers are 0-2 after three balls in the men's competition. Luke Wood has removed both Tom Banton and Harry Brook for ducks.

  7. Invincibles 10-0

    Gaur

That's a superb five from Mahika Gaur. Right on the money throughout and juts shaping the ball back in to Lauren Winfield-Hill and Suzie Bates.

Just one from that set and Gaur will continue.

  8. Post update

    James Anderson

    England bowler on BBC Two

Mahika Gaur has got a really nice action. I have been really impressed with her.

She's still very raw at 17, and has got lots of room to develop but the initial signs are great.

She swings the ball back in from that height and it's very difficult to play.

  9. Invincibles 9-0

Kathryn Bryce bowls the next set and keeps things very tight. Just three singles from her five balls as the seamer gets the ball to swing in to the two right-handed Invincibles openers.

Mahika Gaur will return at the other end.

  10. Post update

    James Anderson

    England bowler on BBC Two

Mahika Gaur set things up for Manchester Originals' win a couple of days ago.

Yes, the spinners took the wickets but because she was so economical up front, it set it up for them and allowed them to bowl the way they did.

  11. Post update

    Alex Hartley

Former England bowler on BBC Two

Mahika Gaur offers something different, both from being left-arm and six foot three.

What's awkward is the bounce that she gets from that height, but with that, she swings the ball a lot.

But because she is so young, she hasn't quite got the variations - she relies on her swing and pace. So as a batter, you want to get after her early and put her under pressure.

  12. Invincibles 6-0

The first boundary of the match!

Angled across Suzie Bates and the New Zealander cuts it away behind square for four. Nice shot.

  13. Post update

    Alex Hartley

Former England bowler on BBC Two

The Originals have got such a strong bowling attack, and it's definitely their strength.

Mahika Gaur was brilliant in their win against Birmingham Phoenix even though she didn't take any wickets, so all eyes will be on her again today.

  14. Invincibles 0-0

Mahika Gaur is bowling the first set of five for the Originals and left-armer starts with a dot ball to Lauren Winfield-Hill.

  15. Post update

    Heather Knight

    England captain on BBC Two

Sophie Ecclestone has got a very good cricket brain and she's quite a natural leader.

What intrigues me is when she's going to bowl herself because she can bowl at all stages of the game.

It's a good toss to win because it does quite a bit for the bowlers here early on, but I think Oval Invincibles have the advantage, as they play so well at home.

  16. Post update

    Originals

Here come the Manchester Originals, led out by Sophie Ecclestone, with the Oval Invincibles openers not far behind.

The first ball is just a few moments away...

  17. Post update

As the famous Patches O'Houlihan once said, if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball.

    Google it, kids...

  18. Root plays for Rockets at Trent Bridge

    Joe Root

The big news from Trent Bridge is England's Joe Root is playing for the Rockets this afternoon against Northern Superchargers.

This will be his first match of the tournament, having had a quick break after the conclusion of the Ashes.

The Rockets won the toss and decided to bowl. Harry Brook also plays for the Superchargers.

Trent Rockets XI: Alex Hales, Dawid Malan, Tom Kohler-Cadmore (wk), Joe Root, Colin Munro, Sam Hain, Lewis Gregory (c), Daniel Sams, Imad Wasim, Luke Wood, Sam Cook.

Northern Superchargers XI: Matthew Short, Tom Banton (wk), Harry Brook, Adam Hose, Saif Zaib, David Wiese, Brydon Carse, Wayne Parnell (c), Adil Rashid, Reece Topley, Callum Parkinson.

  19. Post update

Invincibles might be looking for their first win of the competition but the Originals are unbeaten after three games...

... albeit two of those were washouts. They did manage to claim their first win of the year a couple of days ago after bowling Birmingham Phoenix out for 87.
