James Coles bowls to Rob Keogh, who drives through backward point for two to reach a valuable half century off 63 balls with eight fours.

That's his 20th career fifty for Northants - and a vital rear-guard for his team, who were reeling at 57-4 earlier today.

One ball later he has four swept fine to take Northants past 150 in the 41st over.

Sussex have been bossing this game since the explosive batting of Jack Carson and Fynn Hudson-Prentice helped the team to a lead of 107 runs.

McManus is off the mark with a back foot push behind square leg for two.

One more run nudged past the two short leg fielders.

Keogh survives an appeal for a leg side stumping and keeps the strike with a sweep square for one off the sixth ball.

Some reaction from the abandoned Durham-Hampshire game in Division One - they didn't manage a single ball at the Riverside during the scheduled four days...

Hampshire captain James Vince: "I must admit when we turned up on Thursday and saw the ground, we did fear that this outcome would be a possibility. Although it has not rained much in the days, the top-ups overnight have meant that the run-ups and the outfield couldn't cope.

"I think it has marginally improved today but still the run-ups are still kind of muddy, I think after one or two overs it would have turned into mud and there would have been the danger there for the bowlers especially at this time of year.

"It's incredibly frustrating but at the end of the day, you can't do anything about it."

Durham head coach Ryan Campbell: "After 30-odd years in the game, I don't think I’ve sat through four days without play. I think everyone in England knows how much rain there's been, even though it has been fine during the game, the one thing that people haven't seen is the amount of rain overnight.

"It's disappointing, obviously, we wanted to test ourselves against a very good Hampshire team but we didn't get that opportunity, so we'll put the cue back in the rack, shake it off and head down to Birmingham."

It was a scratchy, difficult start for him but he clung on in the early part of his innings and has taken it through now to three figures.

The 17th century of his first-class career with 14 fours.

Another tense moment for Rob Keogh as he misses a reverse sweep and is ruled not out. Ball appeared to come off arm rather than bat.

He gets a life on 47 as he hammers a ball to Danny Lamb at short extra cover, who howls in pain as the ball slams into his hand and out again.

Very tough chance missed.

That was a pretty decent delivery. It straightens, he had to play it from Ethan Bamber. If it had carried straight on then he would have probably got more bat on it but just deviated a fraction off the seam.

All over at Headingley, where a rain-hit game ended with some fireworks from Adam Lyth and Harry Brook on the final day.

England batter Brook returned to action in style with a 69-ball century before a Yorkshire declaration.

Kent's Joe Denly has his 32nd first-class century.

The home side were in a bit of trouble when he arrived at the crease, but he's done an excellent job to steer Kent towards what will be a comfortable draw.

A lovely shot by Keogh, standing tall and driving Lamb off the back foot through cover for four.

Keogh moves to 40 with a clip through square leg for four more.

Close call for Procter, who is forward missing a swing to leg and he must have been fairly close to a stumping.

He gets away with a single off the second ball.

The third ball is short and punched by Keogh through cover for one.

Keogh keeps the strike with a leg bye off the last ball of the over.

Procter takes a single off the second ball of the over and Rob Keogh levels the score with a clip through mid wicket for one.

Danny Lamb bowls from the other end and a leg side ball ball runs away for four leg byes.

Northants are in front. In purely numerical terms.

Two more runs turned behind square leg off the last ball.

At Lord's, Glamorgan have started their second innings as this one peters out towards a high-scoring draw.

Batters have definitely been on top in this one - 13 wickets for 1,275 runs across the two first innings.

The final session of the game is under way and Sussex just about have time to force a result in the last 45 overs with early wickets to limit the Northants lead to a slender one.

Northants begin the session two runs in arrears with Luke Procter and Rob Keogh.

James Coles will bowl to Procter, who is on 37.

They're back under way at Canterbury, where Tom Banton has joined the Somerset attack.
