Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is the most well-known name competing at the tournament, and he will be looking to go one further than last year when he was defeated in the final.
The legendary 16-time world champion has a great record in Blackpool, having won all of his PDC World Matchplay titles in the town.
‘The Soulger’ Leonard Gates also returns looking to defend his title after he beat Taylor in last year’s final.
But three-time World Champion Martin ‘Wolfie’ Adams will be hoping he can spoil any hopes of a title defence as he returns to the Viva stage.
