"The Gunners have coped with their own injury worries superbly, winning seven of their last eight games in all competitions.

"No Francis Coquelin, no Santi Cazorla, no Alexis Sanchez - no problem...a trip to Southampton aside."

"Liverpool have delivered some landmark performances away from Anfield since Jurgen Klopp arrived as manager in early October, with wins at Chelsea (3-1), Manchester City (4-1) and a 6-1 win at Southampton in the Capital One Cup quarter-final.

"Home form, however, has been patchy but what an opportunity to put that right against the Premier League leaders Arsenal at a rain-soaked Anfield.

"Steven Caulker is on the bench after his loan signing from QPR, with Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho fit to play in central defence."

After four successive league and cup matches on the road, Liverpool are back on home turf for the first time in 2016. And what a huge fixture this is.

The Reds, six points off a top-four spot, have already secured impressive away wins over Chelsea and Manchester City under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool recall captain Jordan Henderson to the midfield after injury but there is no place for forward Christian Benteke, who has to make do with a place on the bench along with new loan signing Steven Caulker. Keeper Danny Ward is also on the bench instead of Adam Bogdan.

The last time Arsene Wenger got his hands on the Premier League trophy, Jurgen Klopp was cutting his managerial teeth in Germany's second tier.

Fast forward 12 years and Arsenal boss Wenger has the title in his sights, two points clear at the top of the table with 18 games remaining.

They've swept aside both Manchester clubs, eased past nearest rivals Leicester and now face a huge test against Klopp's Liverpool at a ground where they have not won in their past two top-flight visits.

Three points at Anfield and Gunners fans really can start believing 2016 is going to be their year.
