Romelu Lukaku knocks the ball out of the Finland box to Axel Witsel in acres of space but he launches his first-time effort well over. He's understandbly a tad rusty after a long time out.

It's a really good strike from Hojberg. You can tell when the ball's been hit nice and true - it moves through the air and barely spins whatsoever. It's falling away to to the keeper's right. Great strike - 30 yards out. He'll be doing more of that now.

There wasn't a shot for either side in this match until the 23rd minute - Axel Witsel's tame effort.

Denmark's first chance of the game and this would have been a beauty. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg absolutely hammers one in from almost 30 yards. Matvey Safonov is diving but is nowhere near it but luckily for him it flies just wide.

Tim Sparv does well to find a team-mate under pressure and suddenly Finland enjoy a little spell of possession and each pass is met by cheers from the Finnish fans.

Kevin de Bruyne looks to have pushed up a little bit now and he sends another ball into the box, he's looking for Eden Hazard but doesn't quite find him.

A nasty one as Fedor Kudryashov clatters Daniel Wass in an aerial collission. The Dane lands very awkwardly from a great height but luckily he's OK. The Russian is booked.

Denmark have had 74% of the ball but they're not doing anything with it. Yussuf Poulsen commits a foul.

Kevin de Bruyne threads his way through the Finland defence before squaring the ball across the face of goal. It deflects off Paulus Arajuuri and onto Lukás Hrádecky's face right on the goalline. Axel Witsel then sees a shot saved as Belgium start to up the tempo.

Russia will back their big man, Dzyuba, against anyone at the far post. That's where the danger is going to come from with set pieces.

Just as happened with Denmark's corner earlier there's a foul and it's a free out.

Crucial intervention by Joona Toivio as he cuts out a Romelu Lukaku ball into the box. If he got that wrong, Eden Hazard was in.

Russia are finding all kind of spaces now. Roman Zobnin's ball is cut out by Joakim Maehle. It loops into the air and could go anywhere - Kasper Schmeichel is worried - but it drops wide for a corner.

Finland have a free kick as Romelu Lukaku catches Tim Sparve on the edge of the Finnish box. Markku Kanerva are happy to take their time with the set piece. They are in absolutely no rush tonight.

Another Russia chance now but Artem Dzyuba shoots wide from Mario Fernandes' cross.

Aleksandr Golovin hits it straight down the middle. It's not a great strike from Golovin but he goes past Simon Kjaer like he's not there. Denmark just got caught out!

Russia have the first chance of the game and it's a big one.

Aleksandr Golovin is allowed to run through the heart of the Danish defence for about 30 yards with ease but then his shot is straight at the legs of Kasper Schmeichel.

That was proper beginner mode on Fifa defending.

Kevin de Bruyne gets his range much better this time as he puts the ball over the top for Romelu Lukaku to chase. The forward breaks into the box but sweeps his shot wide of the far post. He's adjudged offside anyway but a warning for Finland that De Bruyne may be getting into his passing groove.

This might be an exercises to get Kevin De Bruyne fit a little bit given he hasn't had too much football since his injury.

It's not a nice thing to fracture your eye-socket. It's testament to how tough he is.
