That was not supposed to happen. And what's happened here is that we actually played better than Italy. I'm surprised Italy decide to defend us in their own half when actually we made a lot of mistakes building from the back. I told you we will have chances but we will not score. We defended better than ever in the tournament. Individually there were very good performances and defensively certainly we have improved.

An Italy break is cut out and suddenly Álvaro Morato has space to work with at the other end of the pitch. The striker runs towards the box but Italy get numbers across well to cut off his options.

Italy have found a reserve of energy and look capable of punishing Spain on the break again.

Domenico Berardi twists and turns as he tries to break clear of the defence but the danger is read well by Jordi Alba and he cuts it out.

Domenico Berardi is onto a ball over the top and clear of the defence. He waits for it to drop before hooking it into the back of the net, but the flag is up for offside. No doubt about it. He was way off.

Players are getting tired out there and Eric García is down with cramp. He's not able to continue so Pau Torres comes on.

He's been hobbling and that is unfortunately it for Federico Chiesa. The Italy goalscorer is replaced by Federico Bernardeschi.

You can only change small little things at this stage. Hopefully Chiesa is good to go, that will be a big loss for this Italian side if they have to sub him now.

It is all about focus, if you cannot score a goal just make sure you do not concede one.
