Didn't flag it

What I have failed to flag, if you'll excuse the horrific pun, is the amount of flags/banners call them what you will, that are on the seats in the stands at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Welsh flags, #TogetherStronger messages, thanks to the NHS, it certainly adds colour.

Gareth Bale is fouled and is down holding his knee....

This may just be the hope and expectation talking... but Wales' tempo does seem better in the early exchanges of the first half.

It's not been thrilling, but a lot of the international games so far have been like this.

I'm sure there will be a few words in there at half-time and I'm sure it will be a different second-half.

If we can come through with two wins we will be delighted, we are missing four or five players who could come straight into the team.

If Newport can beat Cambridge United then they will host Watford or Oxford in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

As a reminder, the Exiles beat Swansea City 2-0 yesterday, while Cardiff were beaten by Northampton Town.

That was good play from Kieffer Moore, I wonder if Brooks could have had a touch instead of shooting first time.

Brooks looks fitter than Gareth Bale, I'll be surprised if Bale returns in the second half.

The referee blows up the second the clock hits 45 minutes with a grand total of zero seconds injury time.

He's done us all a favour. Grab a brew, it's got to be better in the second half.

Wales' best moment comes from a route one ball that Kieffer Moore turned into something.

That ball fell kindly to David Brooks to try a first time volley, but his effort was wide of goal.

Straight at the goalkeeper from the freekick. I did Gareth Bale a disservice there, it was too far out.

YELLOW CARD

Georgi Kostadinov with a naughty one on Connor Roberts and this is in Bale range.

Gareth Bale is coming deep to get the ball and though this game is not good, Bale's sharpness and movement has been encouraging.

He looks more likely to influence this one than he did in Helsinki, without question.
