    HT: Wales 1-0 Finland

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

When you only need a draw, leading 1-0 at half-time having seen your opponents reduced to 10 men after just 12 minutes is pretty much the dream scenario, isn't it?

    Wales are in total control.

  2. HALF-TIME - Wales 1-0 Finland

    Wales deservedly ahead.

The Finnish red card after only 12 minutes has obviously set the tone for the match and Wales have controlled the ball and space really well and might be more than one goal in front.

The visitors did miss one great chance from a corner.

Now go and enjoy your free hot drink, redeemable from your own kitchens.

Even treat yourself with a snack if you'd like, it's basically Christmas, according to the adverts.

  3. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Into one minute of added on time.

  4. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Wales are still pushing and probing and totally in control.

If you offered Finland 1-0 now they look like a side who would take it.

  5. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Football with no fans is rubbish, on this we all agree.

But if you, like me, need to spend a penny, you won't be complaining in a minute when there is no queue to get into your own bathroom.

    I also won't charge myself £2 for a cuppa.

  6. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Easy to say against 10 men, but Wales look much more comfortable with this system tonight, their passing has been excellent.

  7. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Wales are well on top now and looking for a second goal.

If they were to score, it would be the first time they would have scored twice in one game since beating Hungary 2-0 here to seal qualification for Euro 2020.

  8. CLOSE!

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Wales move the ball around beautifully and create another opening, with Connor Roberts finding his fellow wing-back, but Rhys Norrington-Davies' shot is still rising now.

  9. Post update

    Wales 1-0 Finland

Chris Mepham's shot is deflected wide for another corner and then Joe Morrell blasts over as Wales push and push.

They are dominant and will be eyeing a second before half time.

  10. GOAL - Wales 1-0 Finland

    Harry Wilson

    There we are.

Lovely build-up, Wales finally shift Finland's defenders around and find an opening as Gareth Bale's lovely ball finds Harry Wilson, who applies the cool finish.

A deserved opener, Wales are rewarded for some patient play.

Surprisingly, that's their first, first half goal, of the campaign.

  11. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Finland

Daniel James this time last year was a player in red-hot form for his club and country as he looked to be an almost instant success at Old Trafford. He now looks like a player desperately short of confidence.

That run and cross was highly encouraging.

A goal or an assist would do wonders for James, you fancy.

  12. CLOSE!

    Wales 0-0 Finland

A fabulous save from Lukas Hradecky who denies Gareth Bale from point blank range after a superb cross by Daniel James.

That's a superb save, fair play, Bale will feel he should have scored.

  13. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Finland

Lots of possibilities for Wales down the flanks.

Connor Roberts wins a corner and is just generally looking a menace.

Loads of possession for Wales who are now controlling the tempo.

  14. Post update

    Wales 0-0 Finland

Another Rhys Norrington-Davies cross produces danger in the penalty area as this time Lukas Hradecky is forced to tip over.

  15. CLOSE!

    Wales 0-0 Finland

    What a chance.

Well worked by Finland as Robert Taylor's shot is deflected wide.

From the corner Daniel O’Shaugnessy is completely unmarked and has a volley from just six yards to give the visitors the lead, but his connection was horrible and the danger is averted.

The 10 men should be ahead.

    Wales 0-0 Finland

    Dafydd Pritchard

BBC Sport Wales at Cardiff City Stadium

Could Wales have had a penalty from that earlier cross that evaded everyone?

It looked like Harry Wilson was taken out by Daniel O'Shaughnessy as he tried to get on the end of Rhys Norrington-Davies' cross.

Wilson certainly seemed to think it was a penalty.

Wilson has certainly made his mark anyway.

  17. RED CARD - Jere Uronen

    Wales 0-0 Finland

    Huge moment.

Danny Ward's the most alert player in the ground and his kick catches Finland cold and puts Harry Wilson clear.

Jere Uronen clearly hauled down the Cardiff City man and he's off.

Gareth Bale curls the freekick straight at the goalkeeper, but Wales have a huge advantage now.

Remember, they don't need to win, Finland do.
