The passing was moving and sharp but Joao Cancelo got the ball and did a few step overs and the ball was static - and Pep was apoplectic! If you pick the best XI, the first XI, for Manchester City, I do think that Phil Foden is now in it - and that's high praise for the standard that is at Man City.

He's having to play a little bit wider at the moment - which doesn't always suit him. He wasn't getting enough of the ball in the first part of the first half but he did not make a mess of anything he got, he always looked dangerous.

His attitude is always perfect and he - and Manchester City - deserved it.

After going top of the Premier League yesterday, there was some more good news for Manchester United today as new signing Amad Diallo did a solo training session after completing his £19m move from Atalanta.

It was a day off for the remainder of the United squad following their win at Burnley, so we won't know until tomorrow whether he will be with the Under-23s or the first-team when he has his first proper session.
