Ireland go close. Gavin Bazunu starts a move with a ball out to Matt Doherty. Enda Stevens works it to Callum Robinson, who crosses. James Collins throws himself at the cross but his shot is straight at the keeper.

Jota gives Portugal the lead

Group A favourites Portugal have taken the lead against Serbia thanks to an 11th-minute header from Liverpool's Diogo Jota. The former Wolves player was at the right place at the right time to nod in a curling delivery from Manchester City's Bernardo Silva.

As it stands, the Portuguese lead the group with six points from two games.

Ireland are yet to get going really. They're playing five at the back again - a good way of fitting Seamus Coleman and Matt Doherty in.

Gavin Bazunu made his Shamrock Rovers debut at the age of 16 and played four League of Ireland games... keeping clean sheets in all of them.

He played two European qualifiers too before moving to Manchester City. He's only just turned 19.

Gavin Bazunu only has to wait 100 seconds to make his first save in international football. Ireland allow Vincent Thill to drift inside and shoot from 20 yards but it's straight at Bazunu.
