Whoever the person who the message was for on Raheem Sterling's shirt, they must have meant an awful lot to him.

The England players piled into him and it was like he was kissing the floor and pointing up to the sky, it was a very emotive moment for him.

Declan Rice burst out of midfield and Jack Grealish was waiting for the overlap.

Raheem Sterling was going away from goal and shins it into the corner, it is a well-worked goal from England.

This is excellent. Jack Grealish charges away down the left as England counter. He feeds in the overlapping Mason Mount, whose pull-back is on a plate for Raheem Sterling to finish into the far corner.

Boos all around the stadium as Declan Rice goes in on Andras Schafer, high on the sock. It's committed and clumsy. It gets him a yellow and he can't have many complaints.

A glorious chance for Harry Kane, one he cannot believe he has got.

It is a ball straight through the defence and drags his foot across the ball rather than getting a clean strike on it.

Kane shakes his head, you would put your money on him scoring that.

That was it, though. The one golden opportunity England had been patiently looking for to take a stranglehold on this game.

Strangely, for Harry Kane, he never looked confident with it.

I guess an argument could be made that a draw here is an absolutely fine result for England. It is their toughest game and keeps them top of the group. But where is the romance in that?

I thought in the Euros you saw the relationship between Jack Grealish and Luke Shaw, we saw it a bit more tonight and looked a threat down the left.

The end product has not been there, you can probably see the lack of training time and they have been sloppy on the counter-attack sometimes.

You want to win, you have standards and expectations. Gareth Southgate will be saying "I want more from you".
