The kid's alright
Italy v Spain (19:45 BST)
The most notable inclusion in Spain's Nations League squad is that of 17-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gavi, who has only seven first-team appearances to his name but is about to become his country's youngest ever senior player.
If you want to know more about him, you can read our piece on him on the wesbite.
In short, though, he is the kind of player who gets on the ball, moves at pace, looks to make things happen and get fans out of their seat.
He has been handed La Roja's number nine shirt for the finals.
Sadly club-mate Pedri is not fit enough to join him in this side.
Team news
Italy v Spain (20:00 BST)
The big team news sees Spain hand an international debut to 17-year-old Barcelona midfielder Gavi.
His club debut was less than six weeks ago.
Marcos Alonso wins only his fourth cap - and his first since 2018.
Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, 22, starts at the back for Italy instead of Giorgio Chiellini, who is on the bench.
Neither side have a recognised striker, with several injuries hitting each team.
Italy XI: Donnarumma, Di Lorenzo, Bonucci, Bastoni, Emerson, Barella, Jorginho, Verratti, Chiesa, Insigne, Bernardeschi
Spain XI: Simon, Azpilicueta, Laporte, P Torres, Alonso, Koke, Busquets, Gavi, Sarabia, F Torres, Oyarzabal
Revenge
Italy v Spain (19:45 BST)
That game at Wembley was number 33 in Italy's record-breaking unbeaten run of unbeaten games, which now stands at 37.
However, tonight will be one of the toughest tests of that run, with Spain eager to enact some semi-final revenge and earn themselves a Nations League final showdown against Belgium and France, who meet at the Allianz Stadium in Turin tomorrow.
We're at the San Siro tonight for a big semi-final. It's not the Euros, it's not the World Cup, but it does apparently matter.
Once upon a time at Wembley
Is it really just three months since Italy faced Spain in the semi-finals of Euro 2020?!
You remember... it was enthralling game at Wembley, in which Italy took the lead through Federico Chiesa's lovely curled finish before the much-maligned Alvaro Morata sent the game to extra-time and then penalties with an 80th-minute equaliser.
The shoot-out separated the tie in the Italians' favour, with Chelsea's Jorginho scoring the winning spot-kick and sparking these scenes...
