  10. The Lions hoping to continue impressive away formpublished at 18:59 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

    QPR v Millwall (19:00 GMT)

Millwall make the short journey to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, where QPR will be hoping to draw level on points with their local rivals.

The hosts head into this fixture off the back of a 1-0 home defeat to Huddersfield Town, while Millwall travelled to Derby where they won 1-0 at the weekend.

QPR have fallen off the wagon as of late, losing three of their last five games, including two at home.

But the visitors' impressive form on the road means they've lost just one of their last six away matches and have the sixth best away record in the league.

  11. Will the Barnsley juggernaught roll on?published at 18:56 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

Wycombe Wanderers v Barnsley (19:00 GMT)

Ismael and MowattImage source, Rex Features

I think everyone's maxed-out the alloted number of times you can use the words "Barnsley" and "season's surprise package" in one campaign, so I'll just say this....

Barnsley travel to struggling Wycombe this evening looking to extend their 11-game unbeaten run and possibly make it nine wins from their past 10 as they bid to strengthen their sixth-place position.

    That sums up things succinctly.....

Wycombe meanwhile need a win to lift themselves off the bottom after victory against Preston on Saturday.

  12. Can Hughton upset old friends?published at 18:54 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

Nottingham Forest v Norwich City (19:45 BST)

    Chris HughtonImage source, PA Media

Leaders Norwich take their seemingly-unstoppable promotion bandwagon to the City Ground this evening where they will come up against a former manager in now Nottingham Forest boss Chris Hughton.

As someone who masterminded promotions from the Championship at both Brighton and Newcastle United previously, maybe he can pass on a few more pointers that Canaries manager Daniel Farke might not have gathered the first time around?

But on a run of eight successive wins, there's probably not too much advice needed for Farke right now.

Forest on the other hand, are craving some consistency, with no win in four and just the two of them in their past eight league games.

  13. Relegation dogfight continuespublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

Three of the bottom six are in action tonight.

It's a first match for new Birmingham City manager Lee Bowyer as he welcomes play-off contenders Reading to St Andrew's.

Blues are just three points above the drop zone and would've been relieved to see Rotherham beaten by Watford on Tuesday.

A win this evening would move them level with their current tenants Coventry City.

Elsewhere, Sheffield Wednesday host Huddersfield Town as Darren Moore goes in search of a much-needed first win as Owls boss.

Bottom side Wycombe know they need nothing less than three points at home to Barnsley to claw their way out of the drop zone.

  14. Canaries look to strengthen perchpublished at 18:51 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

    top 6Image source, .

Opportunity knocks for leaders Norwich City to re-establish their 10-point lead this evening when they travel to Nottingham Forest.

A win for Watford last night at Rotherham ensured they stayed in touch with the Canaries while their two closest rivals Swansea and Brentford both dropped points in a defeat by Bournemouth and draw at Derby respectively.

Barnsley and Reading meanwhile can move closer to those two if they can win their matches at Wycombe and Birmingham City.

  15. Postpublished at 18:50 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

Let's take a closer look at what some of the big issues will be this evening at both ends of the Championship....

  16. And in League Two....published at 18:49 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

Grimsby Town v Tranmere Rovers (19:00 GMT)

There's also one fixture in this division too this evening.

One of the other Papa John's Trophy finalists from Sunday, Tranmere return their attentions to their promotion bid.

A win at bottom-of-the-table Grimsby would move Tranmere back to within a point of the automatic promotion places.

Grimsby meanwhile are in desperate need of a win as they sit nine points adrift of safety with 13 games to play.

  17. In League One this eveningpublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 17 March 2021

    Accrington v Sunderland (19:00 GMT)

Just the one match in League One this evening where fresh from their Papa John's Trophy final win on Sunday, Sunderland turn their attentions back to trying to secure promotion.

They could go within two points of the top two this evening if they win at Accrington.

Stanley meanwhile could go within two points of the play-off places with a victory of their own and John Coleman's side also have games in hand on the majority of sides above them.
