'Euro success means more than anything'published at 14:41 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

Andy McRae - I went to Germany, South Africa and Russia, and I have anecdotes to make your hair curl. Euro success means more than literally anything!

Rick - My favourite sporting moment (and only time I have seen my dad sing), was at Wembley for the quarter-final vs Spain in '96 with my dad and two mates.

Cassim Dawjee - World Cup 2010, sat behind David James' goal. Lampard struck a beauty of a goal that never was. England would have won had it stood. Heartbreak.

  2. 'Football really does unite us'published at 14:38 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

    Laura Scott
    BBC Sport News Correspondent

Laura Scott spoke to sports minister Nigel Huddleston about the Euros and England.

"I'm incredibly proud, they've achieved a huge amount already, there's huge anticipation about tonight and huge hope we go beyond tonight. We've got an amazing team and they really are acting like a team."

And if England went all the way?

"It would be amazing, it would be fantastic.

"Sport is lifting the mood of the nation. Football really does unite us in a very unique way.

"We're seeing it in the TV audiences, the catch-up, the radio audiences, it really is getting the attention of the whole country and bringing us all together at a time we all need to.

"It's happening at exactly the right time, in terms of we're making really good progress with the vaccination programme, we're now seeing the removal of restrictions, so to have great sporting success as well is fantastic."

  3. 'He's always had time for people'published at 14:34 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

Jack Grealish's, high school PE teacher Tom Seickell spoke to BBC Sport about the England star.

"Jack's always had that laid back attitude. How you see him on TV is how he is. We knew he was special player - his academic studies took a bit of a back seat.

"The first time I saw him play a pro game was against the team I support which was awful for me. I wanted him to score and do well but as long as he didn't win.

"He came to watch his cousin at the school and stayed around to present the trophies and stayed for like an hour taking pictures he's always had time for people.

"The hair and rolled down socks wasn't there in year 7 but by year 10 it was definitely his style."

'My St George painted face turned pink by my tears'published at 14:30 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

Andy Benfield - I was at the losses in Portugal in '04 and '06. My St George painted face turned pink by my tears! To win would end a sense that loss is destiny.

Matt - I was lucky enough to be at Wembley for the semi-final of Euro '96. I remember my whole body cramping up during the penalty shootout.

Keith Ward - I was at all of the England matches in 1966 and will never forget the tension and then the elation of the final.

  6. 'It's like a band of brothers has been created'published at 14:24 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

    Today Programme
    BBC Radio 4

Speaking to the Today Programme, FA chief executive Mark Bullingham was looking ahead to tonight's game and Gareth Southgate's influence on England.

"We're incredibly excited about the game, it's going to be a huge one for the country, for the players.

"They're actually incredibly calm and everyone in camp is calm. Gareth’s done a great job of building a strong and resilient culture.

"Semi-finals are obviously very difficult and it's true to say that we have lost four out of five in major tournaments. But we believe in the team, we believe what they're doing and we're confident.

"Gareth has got a very strong bond with the players. But even those that didn't come through that pathway (of the under 21’s), he's created a strong relationship which he invests a huge amount of time between our tournaments and between the England windows, to spend time with players, to listen to them, and really build a strong relationship and I think that absolutely paid off.

"What you see is also what you see on the pitch, you know, when a player scores it’s a very natural reaction of all the players on the bench, there will be very supportive of that player and incredibly excited. It's like a band of brothers has been created and I think Gareth’s been at the heart of creating that."

'The euphoria was special'published at 14:17 British Summer Time 7 July 2021

Pavan - I was in Lisbon for Euro 2004 and saw us thrash Croatia. The euphoria was special. The fans were singing about Rooney being the next Pele.

Ray Green - I went to the World Cup to see England in 1966 when a season ticket for all matches cost only £10! Memorable moments.

Robert Lamont - Went to all England games at Euro '96 - even the final in my England shirt. So many great memories. I am going on Wednesday in the same shirt!

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

    BBC Radio 5 Live

One Denmark fan thinks the gods will be shining on his team later.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live's Alistair Bruce-Ball: "We are a team, we are not a group of individuals.

“Do you honestly think that the English team will have formed that magical ring round Eriksen when he fell down?

“That’s when the football ghosts decided it’s Denmark’s turn again."

Safwan Mohammed - I was in Nice in 2016 to see that catastrophe vs Iceland. I never thought I would see England make me happy again...it might just happen.

Oluwole Alfred - I watched the last 16 match between England and Germany at the South Africa 2010 World Cup where the Three Lions were beaten 4-1. It wasn't good.

Mike Barber - Gelsenkirchen 2006, Kyiv 2012, Brazil 2014, Nice 2016. My first-hand experience of travelling to major tournaments - defeat.

Mark Hughes - 25 years living in Denmark, will watch the game with my Danish teenagers but tonight not wishing for my children's happiness. Sorry kids.

Ewan - Just had a complaint come through from a Mr Kane about his recycling. Defo a sign Harry Kane will score tonight. It's coming home!

Nancy Boye - As I was driving into Mansfield town centre for work this morning (in my 15 year old Fiesta), my radio, which has been broken for years, started crackling and music began to seep through the dusty speakers. The song the local station was playing? You guessed it...Three Lions.

Anon. - My sign of it coming home was that it was pouring outside this morning and my cat Adam wouldn't come back inside. I called him several times and he was still outside. However, later when I left for work, there he was. He'd come home. (He's not a black cat, don't worry!)

Lol...thanks for that, whoever you are.
