Burkina Faso booked their last-eight spot with a 7-6 penalty shootout win over 10-man Gabon after it had ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.
In the last-16 Tunisia defeated Nigeria 1-0, who had Everton’s Alex Iwobi sent off in the 64th minute - just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Tunisia were ahead at the time of the red card, thanks to a goal from Youssef Msakni, with the ball squirming through Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye’s grasp.

Toko Ekambi headed his country ahead in the 50th minute, glancing in from Collins Fai's right-wing cross.
It became 2-0 seven minutes later with Toko Ekambi finishing at the back post following Martin Hongla's low delivery.
