What do Cardiff have in response to going a goal down against Blackburn?

Well Aden Flint has just come close to leveling soon after Joe Rothwell's strike put the visitors in front.

He sees his header inside the box saved after he met Joe Ralls' delivery.

    Luton 0-0 Bournemouth

A brilliant save from Luton keeper James Shea.

Ryan Christie is looking lively this afternoon and after an excellent diagonal ball from Jaidon Anthony, he drills it low and Shea dives down to react.

    Mickey Demetriou (8 mins)

Newport take the lead against Harrogate and it comes from a penalty!

    Luton 0-0 Bournemouth

Bournemouth have a chance to go four points clear at the top of the Championship before second-placed Fulham host Bristol City at 15:00 GMT.

Emiliano Marcondes should be in good spirits following his hat-trick in the FA Cup at Yeovil last weekend.

He is occupying the number 10 role and looking to run in behind early on, no chances to speak of so far though.

  9. Postpublished at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Cardiff 0-0 Blackburn

Reda Khadra returns to the Blackburn starting line-up after last week's FA Cup defeat by Wigan and he wins a free-kick for the visitors early on against Cardiff.

The hosts will be hoping not to concede early against Blackburn, who have in-form striker Ben Brereton Diaz among their ranks today.

The pressure to keep winning remains for table-toppers Bournemouth, but Scott Parker's side have three victories in a row in all competitions, suggesting they could be on their way back to their best form.

It's a first league fixture in five weeks for Luton, who have since seen the return of club legend Mick Harford to the dugout after cancer treatment, while manager Nathan Jones has signed a new contact through until 2027.

But the Hatters have won just one of the last eight games between the two sides in all competitions and the Cherries look to be favourites to get another three points today.

  15. Full steam ahead for Blackburnpublished at 12:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January 2022

    Cardiff v Blackburn (12:30 GMT)

    Tony MowbrayImage source, Rex Features

It's all eyes on the league for Tony Mowbray's Blackburn as the second half of the season picks up steam.

There were a number of changes to his side for last week's abject FA Cup defeat by League One side Wigan Athletic, with goalkeeper Aynsley Pears at fault as the Latics fought back to win.

He drops to the bench today, with Thomas Kaminski returning to the starting line-up, while victory against lowly Cardiff will boost their hopes of challenging Fulham for second spot in the Championship table, after the Cottagers thrashed Reading earlier this week.
