    Lawro's prediction: 3-0

Plymouth were top of League One in mid-November but have slipped down the table a little bit since losing manager Ryan Lowe to Preston in December.

They can view this game in the same way Middlesbrough might look at their tie at Manchester United - it is exciting and will be an enjoyable day that will be a very useful money-spinner, but promotion takes priority.

Chelsea will be able to rotate their squad but Thomas Tuchel has an excellent record in the cups and they should win this tie comfortably whatever team he puts out.

Mist's prediction: Chelsea won't have much trouble at home. 2-0

Kidderminster v West Ham (12:30 GMT)

Three-time winners West Ham are bidding to lift the trophy for the first time since 1979-80.

The Hammers head to the West Midlands having progressed from their last 10 FA Cup ties against non-league opposition since being eliminated by Swindon Town back in 1911-12, when they were also a non-league side.

Kidderminster v West Ham (12:30 GMT)

David Moyes speaking on BBC One: "We need to play well, look after how we play, they had a great result to get through to this and we need to respect that. We always take the cups strongly, we respect the competition and we want a good run in the cup.

"I’ve seen the lower leagues and I know exactly what this means to the people of Kidderminster."

  9. Harriers on the charge againpublished at 12:09 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

Fans of a certain vintage will remember that Kidderminster have had a memorable FA Cup run before, in 1993-94 to be more specific.

Then in the Conference, they reached the fifth round before being beaten 1-0 at home by... West Ham.

That is not the only coincidence relating to today's tie. In the third round, Harriers beat Birmingham, then owned by current West Ham chiefs David Sullivan and David Gold. In the fourth round they beat a Preston side that included now West Ham boss David Moyes in their ranks.

They gave the Hammers an almighty scare too but the game was settled by Lee Chapman's goal.

There would be further heartbreak for Kidderminster that season. They finished it as Conference champions, but were unable to gain promotion to the Football League as their stadium failed to meet capacity requirements. Northampton went up instead.

  13. Plymouth head to Chelsea as 'massive underdogs'published at 12:06 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

    Chelsea v Plymouth (12:30 GMT)

Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher has told his players to try to enjoy the occasion when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.

After former manager Ryan Lowe left the club in December, the Pilgrims replaced him with his assistant Schumacher, who can't quite believe he will lead a side at Stamford Bridge so early in his managerial career.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Football Daily, he said: "It’s brilliant. In my 10th ever game in charge as manager I’m going up against the European champions and a world-class manager in Thomas Tuchel, who has had so much success.

"If someone had said this to me a couple of weeks ago I’d say they were mad.

"All the lads are really excited and looking forward to Saturday and everyone’s got smiles on their faces this week.

"We’ve just asked the players to try to enjoy the experience. While we’re going there as massive underdogs we want to go there and soak it all up.

"They have worked really hard in the first three rounds to get to this stage and this is a time now when we can enjoy it and give it our best shot and put out a performance that the fans can be proud of.

"Everyone is desperate to play because it is such a big occasion for them. A lot of lads won’t have played at Premier League stadiums before and they all want to be on the team sheet, but they all understand that I can only pick 11 players."

Plymouth captain Joe Edwards says he hopes Chelsea put their strongest team out for their FA Cup match on Saturday.

The League One promotion hopefuls travel to Stamford Bridge for a 12:30 GMT kick-off in the fourth round and the game is live on BBC iPlayer, Red Button and on the BBC Sport website.

And Edwards is relishing the opportunity to test himself against the best.

"We hope they play their strongest team," he told BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast. "It will be harder for us but we want to play the best players in the world.

"They're the European champions, they've got some magnificent players but it will be great to test ourselves one v one against them."

Plymouth are seventh in League One, three points outside the play-offs after a difficult January, but did win in their last fixture against Doncaster.

"We've had a good season so far," said Edwards. "January didn't go to plan but we won last week and are full of confidence.

"We want to make our friends, our families and our supporters proud so this is a massive opportunity for us."

  15. Windfall for Pilgrimspublished at 12:04 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

    Chelsea v Plymouth (12:30 GMT)

League One Plymouth's FA Cup draw away at Chelsea could see them earn in excess of £1m in this season's competition.

Argyle have earned £288,000 in domestic and overseas television rights from their three games so far.

They could earn up to £800,000 in gate revenue for their trip to the European champions, along with more TV money.

"The financial rewards if you get such a tie as we've got now got are quite nice," Argyle director of football Neil Dewsnip told BBC Sport.

Argyle's 1-0 extra-time win at Championship side Birmingham City in round three saw them make the fourth round for the second successive year - they were beaten at then-Premier League side Sheffield United behind closed doors 12 months ago.

But a tie away at Chelsea, who earn around £2m per match, will be the club's biggest away game since they drew 0-0 at Liverpool in third round in 2017.

"We take great pride at Argyle in that we do have a plan, we're continually monitoring that plan and I would be foolish not to say that the more money you have to operate the plan is very, very helpful," added Dewsnip.

  18. Argyle manager's rise from Everton Under-11s to facing Chelseapublished at 12:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 February 2022

"It's mad," Plymouth Argyle manager Steven Schumacher says when he compares himself to opposite number Thomas Tuchel before his side's FA Cup fourth round trip to European champions Chelsea.

"My mate who I worked with at Everton's academy texted me as soon as we beat Birmingham [in round three], and we got the draw on and said 'you've gone from managing Everton's under-11s to the champions of Europe in four years'."

Saturday's FA Cup tie certainly marks a rapid rise for Schumacher, who takes his League One Argyle side to Stamford Bridge in just his 10th game as a manager.

The 37-year-old Liverpudlian stepped up from assistant to become the Pilgrims' boss in early December after his "best friend" Ryan Lowe left to take over at Preston North End.
