  1. Page 'on top of the world' after Austria win

Wales v Czech Republic (19:45 BST)

The focus is Czech Republic tonight, but it is hard not to have half an eye on Wales' potential route to the World Cup.

Manager Robert Page said he was "on top of the world" after Gareth Bale inspired his team to victory over Austria in the play-off semi-final Thursday.

Wales are just one game away from ending the nation's 64-year wait for an appearance at the tournament.

You would imagine Page is still smiling.

As expected, Wales make wholesale changes from Thursday’s 2-1 World Cup play-off semi-final win over Austria, with 10 in total.

Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey starts to become the third man to win 100 caps for Wales. He is the only player to keep his place from the Austria victory.

Aaron Ramsey is left out of the squad entirely, while Gareth Bale is on the bench. That means there are starts for younger squad players such as Rubin Colwill, Rabbi Matondo and Brennan Johnson.

Wales: Hennessey; Mepham, Cabango, Gunter; Thomas, Morrell, Vaulks, Norrington-Davies; Colwill, Matondo, Johnson.

  6. Good evening

Wales v Czech Republic (19:45 BST)

    Good evening,

Anyone got that feeling that we've been here before?

That's because we were here almost a year ago, Tuesday, 30 March, 2021, Cardiff City Stadium, Wales v Czech Republic in what was a vital World Cup qualifier.

That was then, this is now, with Wales' dream of a second World Cup appearance now one win away from becoming reality.

However, tonight is a night where the focus briefly comes away from World Cup aspirations, with the focus on bigger events.

The Football of Association of Wales has announced funds from tonight's match against the Czechs will go towards the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, including any profits made from staging the friendly.

There is also the small matter of a major, major milestone tonight, as captain for the evening, Wayne Hennessey, becomes just the sixth member of Wales' 100-cap club, following his team-mates Chris Gunter and Gareth Bale among others.

In terms of the game, Wales are waiting for their World Cup play-off final in June, with tonight's match a friendly, meaning a more youthful looking line-up.

Let's have a look at those teams, shall we?
