    France 0-0 Denmark

Andreas Cornelius was the only player to have more than one touch inside the France box during the first half.

Denmark's coaching staff evidently weren't too impressed with the impact of the three he had, having hooked him at the break.

Now Christian Eriksen crosses but Martin Braithwaite doesn't throw himself at it.

Kylian Mbappe flicks the ball up to Adrien Rabiot in the box but the France midfielder can't get the ball down. In time to shoot, I mean - it's not stuck floating in the air or anything.

Legendary France full-back Bixente Lizarazu was just below me at half-time, doing some punditry work for TF1.

1998 World Cup winner and Bayern Munich stalwart, they don't make them like him anymore.

The three times when Denmark have had two attempts or fewer in the first half of a World Cup game have all come against France - 2002, 2018 and today.

They didn't lose either game, winning 2-0 on the first occasion and drawing 0-0 four years ago.

There's a lady in the press box - I assume she's from France because she's got Tricolor stickers and flags - who is on crutches.

It's 50 steps from the concourse to up here!

Commitment, that. I'd have watched it from home on the telly.

No goals will be the frustrating thing for France, they have not really been put under too much pressure.

France had one or two good moments but not been able to find the back of the net yet.

Shot-happy Mbappe is only on an xG of 0.2 goals in this game. That's considerably higher than Denmark's nearest - Andreas Cornelius, on 0.03.

I thought there were a lot of good things in the first half from France, very positive. They just need a bit more efficiency in the final third and to be a bit more clinical.

It's coming but I was the most impressed with the control of the game. We were not under pressure, the midfield worked really hard.

Only Tunisia's Youssef Msakni (nine) has had more shots at the 2022 World Cup so far than Kylian Mbappe (eight).

Only one of Mbappe's have been on target - his goal against Australia.

Here's where the chances have been so far, with the majority of that multitude of dots inside Denmark territory representing set pieces for France.

The size of the dots represents the expected goal value of each opportunity. It may not make great viewing for the Euro 2020 semi-finalists, but that lonely dot at the other end is the only one for either side to have come directly from a fast break. They're ready to spring.
