  1. Post update

In case you missed any of the action so far today, let's have a look at what has happened so far on day four of the 2022 World Cup...

  2. TEAM NEWS - Man City pairing in Spain's defence

Spain v Costa Rica (16:00 GMT)

    Spain

Spain have got issues at centre-back but it is something of a surprise to see a midfielder, Rodri, paired with his Manchester City team-mate Aymeric Laporte at the heart of their defence.

Sergio Busquets, the only survivor of their 2010 World Cup triumph has his usual role sitting in front of the back-line but I'm not sure what they will do up front. No Alvaro Morata, so it appears either Ferran Torres or Marco Asensio will be playing as a false nine - but let's wait and see on that one.

Spain XI: Unai, Alba, Laporte, Rodri, Azpilicueta, Busquets, Gavi, Pedri, Torres, Asensio, Olmo

    Costa Rica

Former Arsenal striker Joel Campbell, who scored their first goal at the 2014 World Cup when they reached the quarter-finals and also got the winner against New Zealand that sent them to Qatar, starts up front.

Watch out for teenage winger Jewison Bennette, who is yet to start a game for Sunderland but usually makes an impact when he comes off the bench.

Costa Rica XI: Navas, Calvo, Waston, Duarte, Fuller, Oviedo, Bennette, Tejeda, Borges, Campbell, Contreras.
