Superb from Luka Modric as he anticipates a Morocco pass, steps in to pinch possession and then surges towards the box. He feeds Ivan Perisic to his left but the midfielder's cross is blocked.

Croatia are lost of ideas. They are finding it so tough to break Morocco down.

The individual battles are being won by Morocco.

A couple of Luka Modric corners come to nothing but Morocco break quickly through Abde Ezzalzouli. The winger charges forward, gets to the edge of the box but then gets the ball trapped under his feet as he tries to work space for a shot and the chance goes.

Morocco have a free kick 35 yards from goal, Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech look to be chatting about a shot, surely not? Ziyech rolls the ball to Hakimi who hammers a brilliant effort that is only denied by an equally good save.

What a danger Achraf Hakimi is. He bursts away down the right and gets to the edge of the box before putting in a cross that is just behind his charging team-mates. A good opportunity, though. Morocco are looking the most likely to score.

But they are going to be forced into a change here as Noussair Mazraoui cannot continue. He has dropped to the floor again and on comes the stretcher to take him off. Yahia Attiyat Allah is on in his place.

This has been a really good performance by Morocco. They are quick to put pressure on Croatia's players inside their own half and are then organised in defence when Croatia do attack. Luka Modric has had very few opportunities to be able to orchestrate things.

There's a break in play because Noussair Mazraoui is down injured and needing treatment. Eventually he is OK to get up and make his way to the edge of the pitch and he is ultimately fine to continue.

Things are livening up now as Bono throws himself right into a crowded box to punch away a ball into the area.

PENALTY APPEAL

Morocco fans are screaming for a penalty for handball as Sofiane Boufal's shot hits a Croatia player as he turns his back on the ball. Huge jeers as play continues with Croatia on the attack.

A very slow start to this second half. Croatia are being patient with their passing as they look to control the play.
