Bradford boss Mark Hughes must be considering changes.

His side have been second best all day today.

Replays show that Corey Whelan kicked his own heel before he fell to the floor just there.

He might have been knocked off balance just before he got into the area but that would have been VERY controversial if the penalty had been given.

No video assistant referees in the play-off semi-finals remember, although they will be in use in all three finals.

Down the other end Scott Banks curls an effort well wide for the Bantams, who just can not get going in this.

I tell you what, Bradford are rattled here.

Carlisle are first to the ball and Bradford are giving it away - they're in that sluggish mode.

    Carlisle 1-0 Bradford (Agg 1-1)

Brief stoppage as Corey Whelan needs a bit of patching up after catching an accidental elbow from Andy Halliday.

The Carlisle man is straight back into the action when he gets back on the pitch, as he charges into the penalty area and goes down.

    Nothing doing.

Mark Hughes will have told his players in no uncertain terms to get amongst this team.

They sat back in first half and did very little to show they really want to get in this final.

They need to show what they're really about.

Carlisle have picked up where they left off.

Joe Garner's strike is deflected behind by Sam Stubbs and the resultant corner causes some consternation before eventually being gathered by Bantams keeper Harry Lewis.

If you're just joining us, keeper Ben Hinchliffe was the hero with two penalty shootout saves as Stockport beat Salford in a gripping first play-off semi-final.

You can read our match report of that one here.

HT: Carlisle 1-0 Bradford (Agg 1-1)

    Andy Kiwomya
Ex-Bradford forward and head of performance on BBC Radio Leeds

This left-hand side is the problem for Bradford.

There's no balance and it's so predictable.

Right now they need to get a balance to their game as they haven't got it at the moment.

Bradford don't seem to have that player who can dance past the Carlisle defence, at the moment.

We saw when the likes of Salford and Stockport visited they had that player who could do the damage.

The home side have the lead and this tie is level with 45 minutes to play.

It's been helter-skelter stuff at Brunton Park but it is the Cumbrians who are firmly on top.

John-Kymani Gordon saw an early strike turned on to the post by Harry Lewis before the Crystal Palace loanee was quickest to react after Lewis spilled an Owen Moxon shot, although the final touch may have come off Bantams defender Andy Halliday.

The Bantams then hit the post from close range after a Scott Banks header was flicked on by Jamie Walker, but back came the hosts.

Joe Garner hit the post from a corner before Lewis made a superb save to deny Moxon on the follow-up.

Bradford enjoying their longest spell of possession in the game (which isn't really saying all that much) as we head into three minutes of time added on.

    This is absolutely non-stop!

Bradford goalkeeper Harry Lewis has to be on his mettle to keep out John-Kymani Gordon's chipped effort.

The striker might have been better cutting the ball across goal instead.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 41 mins

    Carlisle 1-0 Bradford (Agg 1-1)

Veteran Bradford midfielder Adam Clayton is in the book for a full-blooded challenge on Joe Garner on the halfway line.

    Carlisle 1-0 Bradford (Agg 1-1)

Bradford's recent record here is... not good.

They have not won in Cumbria since August 1985.

Of course, they don't NEED to win today. A draw would be enough to see them through to Wembley.

Just noticed I called Carlisle striker Joe Garner James Garner there a few entries ago...

Hey, look, we all make mistakes.

Out on the pitch, the home side remain firmly on top as Corey Whelan flashes a low shot just wide from 20 yards out.

This is a hugely experienced Bradford team.

They're just looking to take the sting out of this a little because the home side have been all over them for the majority of the game.

Topscorer Andy Cook has not had a sniff.

Carlisle goalscorer John-Kymani Gordon is bang up for this today.

The Crystal Palace loanee is just back from a three-game ban and he is looking to make up for lost time.

He hadn't scored in his previous 12 appearances but the 20-year-old is looking to make a name for himself here.

Stockport beat Salford 3-1 on penalties

    Steve Eyre
Former Rochdale boss on BBC Radio Manchester

Salford only scored one of their penalties but didn't bring on their penalty taker.

I've seen Stockport in the Championship and seen them plummet to National League North. They are a club on the march now.

I'm surprised they didn't win automatic promotion. A slow start cost them as their form post-Christmas was Championship form.

Right, it has ALL been going on at Brunton Park while those penalties were being taken at Stockport.

The away side nearly levelled within moments of falling behind as Scott Banks' header was flicked on to the post by team-mate Jamie Walker from very close range.

And now the home side have struck the woodwork for the second time through Joe Garner's near-post header!

If you missed the goal entry then it was Crystal Palace loanee John-Kymani Gordon with the strike after Harry Lewis spilled an Owen Moxon shot from 15 yards out.

Play-off chaos. You've got to love it*.

*Unless you support either of these teams.
