  1. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

Salma Paralluelo bends a shot towards goal and it is awkward for Gaëlle Thalmann, who dives to push the ball behind.

Spain have another corner but this one Nadine Riesen heads away well.

  2. 'Swiss full-backs getting tighter'

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Gilly Flaherty

Former England defender on BBC One

The Switzerland full-backs are getting a lot tighter to the Spanish wingers, not letting them have the time to turn.

That's the area really where they destroyed Switzerland in the first half.

  3. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

Meriame Terchoun of Switzerland goes down with an injury

Meriame Terchoun has just come on and there's a danger she might have to go off already as she receives some treatment after a clash.

After a couple of minutes she is back on her feet and it seems like she is okay to continue.

  4. Watch: Codina makes amends with Spain's fourth

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

  5. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

It is more of the same so far with Spain controlling the possession, looking for the opportunity to get crosses in.

  6. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

All those Swiss changes are in midfield as they look to try and get some control on matters as they had zip in the first half.

    Switzerland boss Inka Grings
  7. KICK-OFF

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

Will Spain go for more or ease up?

We're back under way and Switzerland have made a triple half-time alteration with Sandrine Mauron, Viola Calligaris annd Meriame Terchoun on for Eseosa Aigbogun, Géraldine Reuteler and Coumba Sow.

  8. 'Bonmati has really gripped the game'

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Steph Houghton

Manchester City defender on BBC One

Aitana Bonmati has really taken this game by the scruff of the neck. She's said, "I'm going to take charge".

What's really impressed me with Spain is they are crossing early, crossing from deep areas, they are getting bodies in the box and Bonmati is always in the right place.

You cannot deny the skill of that turn for the third goal and then to finish with her weaker foot - she really has gripped the game for Spain.

  9. 'Spain out to prove a point'

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Fern Whelan

Former England and Brighton defender on BBC One

Spain have obviously wanted to put the wrongs right from their last game, they are pressing high up, pressing aggressively and being a hell of a lot more clinical with their finishes.

They just look like they are avenging what happened the other day against Japan - they are out to prove a point and they are certainly doing that.

  10. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Gilly Flaherty

Former England defender on BBC One

The lack of chances that Switzerland have created is surprising given who their manager is [Inka Grings].

She was one of the best forwards in the women's game.

  11. 'Japan defeat well behind Spain'

    HT: Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Sanny Rudravajhala

    Reporting for 5 Live Sport

From disaster to delight! Laia Codina is having the most eventful of debuts and 4-1 is no more than her and this Spain side deserve.

Inka Grings will no doubt have a lot to say to her Switzerland players at half time. They have been overwhelmed by Spain’s relentless play.

But for Codina, she’s put that own goal behind her and her team have put that 4-0 defeat to Japan well and truly in their rear view mirror. They're motoring along towards the quarter finals.

  12. Watch: Spain's sumptuous third

    HT: Switzerland 1-4 Spain

As mentioned earlier, a lovely drag-back and finish for Spain's third.

  13. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

Switzerland have a goal but don't let that deceive you because it was an own goal. The Swiss went an entire 45 minutes without a shot on or off target.

As a coach, I'm not sure what you say at half time after that first-half showing.

Thom James: Shades of 2016 Hal Robson-Kanu vs. Belgium about that third Spain goal.

    Delicious drag-back for sure, Thom...

    Hal Robson Kanu
  15. HALF-TIME

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

For our UK readers who might be just waking up, Spain are basically in the quarter-finals.

As one sided a match you will ever see.

    Spain celebrate
  16. Post update

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Neil Johnston

    BBC Sport at Eden Park

I don't think we're going to need extra-time or penalties in Auckland. Switzerland look well beaten and we've not even reached half-time.

  17. 'Swiss have almost given up'

    Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Gilly Flaherty

Former England defender on BBC One

    Laia Codina scores for Spain

Switzerland have almost just given up. So many bodies in the box yet they're not even challenging. You can see players pointing fingers.

Take responsibility. You have five Switzerland players around the ball when it comes into the box but Codina wants it more than the Switzerland players do.

  18. GOAL - Switzerland 1-4 Spain

    Laia Codina

Laia Codina makes amends for her earlier mistake!

Switzerland fail to deal with yet another corner and defenders pretty much stand about as Codina shows great determination to win a scramble and poke in from close range.

A perfect way to bounce back after the own goal. Spain in total and utter control.

  19. 'Bonmati everywhere'

    Switzerland 1-3 Spain

    Sanny Rudravajhala

    Reporting for 5 Live Sport

Wow, Aitana Bonmati - what composure and on the biggest stage.

That’s her third of the tournament - a hat-trick will give her a 20th in Spain colours but that certainly won’t be on her mind right now. She's been at the centre of Spain’s attacks, she’s popping up everywhere!

  20. Post update

    Switzerland 1-3 Spain

Four minutes to go until the break and we are still waiting for a first attempt on goal for Switzerland.

Spain will be utterly chuffed about how comfortable this has been.
