Inverness need a bit of luck, and a huge performance, and probably for some Celtic players to not to have their best performance.

It's Cup final weather, you could not ask for a better pitch. Hopefully we get a brilliant spectacle.

Inverness have enjoyed some really big results against Celtic. It's a game that everyone will think Celtic can win comfortably, but we've seen over the years there have been shocks.

Inverness seem to bit of a bogey team for Celtic in the Scottish Cup.

I think a lot of Celtic fans were worried when Kyogo came off last week. But Jota has been top class this season. He comes with that Portuguese flair, but he backs it up with goals and assists. Days like today are made for players like him.

Celtic have quality all over the park, that's why they dominate. As a former Celtic player, you come into these games with a bit of arrogance that you belong in cup finals, and you want to prove that.

It's loud, and smoky, in here now. A pyro has just been set off in the Inverness end and now it's been lobbed on the park.

The Celtic ultras to my right are in party mode already. Plenty of taps aff.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou tells BBC Scotland: "The Scottish Cup final is a special event. We weren't here last year, it's something we missed out on. I'm looking forward to it in the context of what we're at the doorstep of achieving. We're really looking forward to performing today.

"The club has had a lot of success recently, including trebles. It's very easy to dismiss it as something that's almost par for the course, but history shows this isn't the case. This is a golden period for the club and we've got the chance to add to it and make history with it.

"It's not going to be easy. There's a reason they [trebles] are difficult to obtain and I'm sure that will be the case in today's game.

"It's a one-off game and anything can happen. We've had a good look at Inverness and I don't think there's a lot between them and some of the Premiership teams we face. We know when we're at our best we can take the game to anyone and that's the players' focus. We're not underestimating Inverness and we're not underestimating the occasion."

Asked whether he can reassure Celtic fans about his future, he says: "My future will be very perilous if we don't win today, so that's where my focus is."

Not trying to cause any panic for Celtic fans, this might be a normal pre-match routine, but Reo Hatate has just done an extra five minutes or so warming up.

The Japanese midfielder has just shot down the tunnel, but his team-mates were all off the pitch a bit before him.

Inverness CT manager Billy Dodds tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted for my lads who are here. It's a proud moment for me and my family.

"You've always got to believe to start with, but what's given me belief is the way my players have taken on board what I want to do within the game. We've put some amount of prep in, some amount of effort, and the lads are ready to go.

"I've always had trust in my players that they've got that steely determination. They've got themselves through some sticky moments in the past few years.

"I would like to think we're close [to a Premiership team] because we've consistently given Premiership teams a run for their money. We beat Livingston in the League Cup and then again in the Scottish Cup, then we beat Kilmarnock. It's no fluke.

"I'm trying to get a balance of not camping in on our 18-yard box and being a real threat."

Have we mentioned that Caley Thistle are underdogs?

Despite the glaring gulf between the sides, the Highlanders do have recent history of making life difficult for Celtic in this competition.

In 2000, there was a stunning 3-1 win at Celtic Park, a result that ultimately cost John Barnes his job and spawned the never-bettered 'Super Caley go ballistic, Celtic are atrocious' headline.

Three years later, they defeated Martin O'Neill's Uefa Cup final-bound Celtic 1-0 in the Highlands.

And, in 2015, it was Inverness got the better of 10-man Celtic at the semi-final stage, edging it 3-2 in extra-time.

Only Rangers have a better Scottish Cup record against Celtic in the 21st century...

I've been looking forward to this. Hampden is now showing Inverness' route to the final on the big screens.

Was quite excited to see what they would do with their fourth round highlights. They've just hit the delete button on them. Apparently it didn't happen.

While Celtic fans are hyped at the prospect of a treble, there is a mood of disquiet since the hugely popular Ange Postecoglou is being strongly linked with a move away.

If Tottenham make an approach will the 57-year-old be tempted?

He's done a grand job of batting away many questions on his future over these past few weeks.

Ange Postecoglou is reaching the end of his second season at Celtic.

The manager has two league titles and two League Cups to his name.

If he completes the set today, the Australian will join Jock Stein, Martin O'Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon in the club's history books.

Celtic and Rangers are currently tied on seven clean sweeps each since the League Cup was established in 1946-47.

This is Celtic's 59th Scottish Cup final...

There have been a record 40 triumphs, with victories on the last eight occasions when they've reached the last two.

Caley Thistle have only been around since 1994 and finished this season mid-table in the second tier, but they have already had a taste of Scottish Cup glory, lifting the old trophy in 2015.

They were big favourites that day against Falkirk, although they did it the hard way, with James Vincent grabbing a late winner after they'd gone down to 10 men.

One final, one win. Not bad at all.

Inverness may have already lifted this cup but they can make history by becoming the first team to win it after losing a game.

Yes, you read that right.

Billy Dodds' side were beaten 2-0 at home by Queen's Park in the fourth round, but it turned out the Glasgow side had fielded an ineligible player and the result was overturned.

Caley Thistle, who had squeezed past Stirling Albion in the previous round, have made the most of that reprieve, beating Premiership sides Livingston and Kilmarnock, before sweeping past Falkirk in the semis.

Celtic put five past Morton and St Mirren, then crushed Hearts 3-0 at Tynecastle to set up a semi-final meeting with Rangers.

Just before half-time, Jota headed in the only goal at Hampden to sink their Old Firm rivals.
