  14. 'Expert forward play from Harry Kane'

    England 3-1 Italy

    Matt Upson

Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Players run to celebrate with Harry Kane after his second goal.

It has just been a real physical element to Harry Kane's game this evening.

Scalvini tries to push him off the ball but can't and then once he is past him Kane gets to the ball ahead of Bastoni, pushes him off too.

The angle to Donnarumma was superb, made the finish so easy for himself. Expert forward play.

He was through on goal, no one was going to stop him, just had to hit the target.

  15. Post update

    England 3-1 Italy

    Alex Howell

    Football reporter at Wembley Stadium

Gareth Southgate punches the air and celebrates towards the crowd. That should be qualification sorted for England.

  16. GOAL - England 3-1 Italy

    Harry Kane

    BRILLIANT!

This is top, top quality centre forward play. He holds off his marker to turn and gather Marc Guehi's fired pass forward before flicking the ball past the covering Giorgio Scalvini. After that he is away.

Alessandro Bastoni tries to get back but he's got no chance of getting between the England captain and his goal. Gianluigi Donnarumma doesn't have a prayer as Kane slots in.

    England are heading to Germany.

Kane slots home his second of the game.
  17. Post update

    England are managing this well.

They've been excellent in this half so far.

  18. 'Italy don't know how to handle Bellingham'

    England 2-1 Italy

    Matt Upson

Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Italy aren't quite sure how to handle Bellingham are they?

Cristante complaining to the referee there but he did catch Bellingham as he tried to burst forward.

He is just so good at that Bellingham, receiving the ball on the back foot and bang, into that pocket of space in front of the opposition defence.

  19. Post update

    England 2-1 Italy

Jude Bellingham is just ace. Sorry to make that point again. But he is.

Bellingham celebrates England's goal by cheering with the fans.
  20. Post update

    England 2-1 Italy

They won't want to let this lead slip, though, even if only a draw is enough.
