    Notts County 4-0 Bradford

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County and Bradford City striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

I have to say I'm scathing of this Bradford City side.

    I am gobsmacked.

It's like playing against a team of mannequins.

    Stunning!

Dan Crowley has been outstanding this half and caps it with an exquisite finish.

Notts win back possession deep in Bradford's half and Macaulay Langstaff bursts into the box and tees up Crowley who perfects a neat drag back before guiding the ball into the top corner from 15 yards.

    Wonderful stuff!

Bradford City are on the run.

That Dan Crowley pass split the defence.

Once Macauley Langstaff got into position, it was thank you and goodnight.

  5. goal

GOAL: Notts County 3-0 Bradfordpublished at 13:12 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2023

    Macaulay Langstaff (41 mins)

Is that game over before half-time?

It's another beautifully weight pass from Crowley which gives Macaulay Langstaff a run on goal.

Bursting between the centre-halves, Langstaff does what he does, stroking the ball past Harry Lewis and into the bottom corner.

    Notts County 2-0 Bradford

    Mark Stallard
Former Notts County and Bradford City striker on BBC Radio Nottingham

It's a good time for Notts to score because they've got a bit sloppy in the last five minutes or so.

Now they just need to settle down.

    Macaulay Langstaff (35 mins)

    And there is the second.

Harry Lewis does well to keep out David McGoldrick's shot after he was played in by Crowley.

It rebounds clear to the returning John Bostock who fires in a shot through a crowded goalmouth and it takes a nick off Macaualay Langstaff's thigh.

Not his best goal, but he'll take it.

    That's 13th this season already.

  8. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Notts Co 1-0 Bradford

The Magpies have bossed possession in the opening 34 minutes, and that's an understatement.

They've had more than 80% of the ball.

But Bradford could easily be level after that Andy Cook chance and Notts boss Luke Williams will want a second....soon.

  9. CLOSE!published at 31 mins

    Notts Co 1-0 Bradford

    Another fine chance for Bradford!

Bobby Pointon's superb cross from the right finds Andy Cook yards from goal.

But like Macaulay Langstaff moments earlier plants his header onto the ground and Notts goalkeeper Sam Slocombe is able to make the point-blank save.

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

    Andy Kiwomya

What a save from Harry Lewis.

That was a point blank header down to his feet, and thankfully nobody was there to score the rebound.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 27 mins

    Notts Co 1-0 Bradford

    Take a bow Harry Lewis.

Wonderful cross from David McGoldrick on the left picks out Macaulay Langstaff just yards out from goal, but Lewis makes a superb reaction save with his knee.

Langstaff should have buried that header mind you.

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

Bradford win a free kick in a promising position, central to goal and 10 yards outside the box.

Jamie Walker takes a breath, steps up, and blazes it high wide and handsome.

  13. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Notts Co 1-0 Bradford

Notts reply with another lovely spell of possession and that's underlined by our old friend match stats.

The hosts have had 226 passes in the opening quarter to Bradford's 32.

    Impressive stuff.

  14. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    Notts Co 1-0 Bradford

Bradford just getting a bit of joy now after Notts' superb start.

Alex Gilliead pings in a cross from the right which is headed clear but drops to Andy Cook just inside the box who turns and steers a shot just past the far post.

It might be worth mentioning that despite Bradford being 18th in the League Two table, they've played the four teams above Notts County and lost none of them.

  16. A bit of historypublished at 18 mins

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

When Notts County last beat Bradford in 2014, a fresh-faced Jack Grealish scored the winner for Notts.

I wonder whatever became of him?

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

A first sight of goal for Bradford.

Pointon works room down the right and sends a far post cross to Andy Cook, but he guides his header wide, under pressure.

  18. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

This is just the start to settle the hosts, but the last thing new Bradford boss Graham Alexander will have wanted.

David McGoldrick is popping up all over the place as Notts stroke the ball around in the Bradford half.

Then Macaulay Langstaff's low shot is inches wide as Aaron Nemane finds too much space in the City box.

  19. 'Something needs to change'published at 12:43 Greenwich Mean Time 18 November 2023

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

    Andy Kiwomya

I wish it was a basketball game, because I'd ask for a timeout now if I were Graham Alexander.

    Something needs to change.

    Notts County 1-0 Bradford

    Almost a second!

Bradford goalkeeper Harry Lewis palms David McGoldrick's long-range shot straight to Dan Crowley whose shot is flicked into the net by Macaulay Langstaff.

But the Magpies leading scorer was just offside.
