    Harvey Knibbs (56 mins)

No more than the Royals deserved!

A 10th goal of the season - and fifth in League One - for Harvey Knibbs.

Jeriel Dorsett plays the ball into Knibbs inside the area and the Royals forward does the rest with a calm finish.

Two for Madden, five for Stockport.

Paddy Madden's looping header from an Ibby Touray corner had put him level in the race for the matchball with Ryan Croasdale.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

Bluebirds stopper Paul Farman to the rescue with a good save to deny Charlie Austin an equaliser with a flicked header from a George McEachran set-piece.

    Lincoln 1-0 Reading

BBC Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor is eulogising about the view of Lincoln Cathedral from the LNER Stadium.

Royals fans would probably concur more if their side were to find an equaliser.

Adam Wallage: Shocking first half, we lose this goalless Christmas is ruined completely, at least get a draw lads, C'MON YOU PIES!

An unhappy Notts County fan as his side trail 2-0 at Harrogate!

  6. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Derby 0-0 Wycombe

Perhaps no surprise that Derby manager Paul Warne has taken off one of the five players on a yellow card.

Louie Sibley has made way for Tyrese Fornah as the Rams try to make more of an impression on this Wycombe defence.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Wrexham 1-0 Colchester

Owen Goodman has begun the second half with a good save to prevent Paul Mullin from doubling the advantage for the hosts, who are a man down, remember.

  8. 'Lincoln can't be as bad this half'published at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Lincoln 1-0 Reading

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

We expect Lincoln to be better than they were this half. I can't see them being as bad.

Reading have had two goals disallowed, but their final ball or final pass has been disappointing.

  9. SECOND HALFpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

Some very interesting scorelines at half-time.

Will the second halves produce something different or more of the same?

    Let's find out!

  10. League Two Updatepublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Half Time

    • Crewe are the big beneficiaries at the summit outside of the top three, Mickey Demetriou's seventh goal of the season (not bad for a defender!) has restored their lead against Accrington.

    • Crawley have pegged back Mansfield after the Stags took an early lead, while Notts County have work to do at Harrogate from 0-2 down.

    • Two-goal leads also for MK Dons and Morecambe, while Bradford are enjoying life in Kent as it stands against Gillingham thanks to Jamie Walker.

    • Yet to see a goal at Newport, Walsall, and Salford. But there's 45 more minutes coming up to change that.
  11. League One Updatepublished at 15:59 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Half Time

    • Surprise of the day coming at second-placed Bolton, who trail 0-2 to Bristol Rovers

    • The Trotters' loss stands to be Stevenage's gain. Steve Evans' team are one up at home to Exeter

    • Barnsley are staying hot on the heels of those in the play-offs. Adam Phillips has put them ahead against Charlton

    • Division top scorers Peterborough took 40 minutes to take the lead against leaky Fleetwood.

    • Burton continue to struggle after Dino Maamria, Oxford have the lead at the Kasam stadium.

    • Two goals from Ethan Chislett have given Port Vale a two-goal cushion against Wigan, while Northampton lead at Carlisle and Cambridge are 2-1 up at home to Blackpool.

    • Cheltenham and Leyton Orient is our only goalless game. Exciting!
  12. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:55 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Lincoln 1-0 Reading

Reading have put the ball in the net three times and yet they are losing 1-0!

Lincoln are somewhat fortunate to be in front, but that's what happens to teams like the Royals when you're down on your luck.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:54 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Shrewsbury 0-1 Portsmouth

Portsmouth have been tested by Shrewsbury but that Abu Kamara goal changes the complexion of things.

With this result, they are going to be top of League One for Christmas.

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Stockport 4-0 Sutton

    Ryan CroasdaleImage source, Rex Features

Top lead bottom at Edgeley Park but to be honest it's the manner of how they have done it...

Ryan Croasdale is on a hat-trick, Kyle Wootton has his ninth of the season and Paddy Madden has a 50th Hatters goal as County produced a blistering 23-minute opening salvo which featured all four goals.

To their credit, Sutton have regained some composure and the deficit might have been worse had they not knucked down.

  15. goal

GOAL: Shrewsbury 0-1 Portsmouthpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Abu Kamara (45+2 mins)

The League One leaders nip in front in stoppage time.

Not the prettiest goal, but they won't mind. Marlon Pack launches a long throw into the Shrewsbury box and Abu Kamara find the net from close range.

  16. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Derby 0-0 Wycombe

No shots on target from either team, but six bookings.

If only it was the other way round!

  19. 'Royals will wear Lincoln down'published at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Lincoln 1-0 Reading

    Mick Gooding
Ex-Reading player/manager on BBC Radio Berkshire

I'll be really, really surprised if Reading don't get the next goal in this game and equalise.

They will wear Lincoln down. They have been chasing the ball for most of this half.

  20. CLOSE!published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2023

    Wrexham 1-0 Colchester

James McLean has fizzed an effort just past the upright as 10-man Wrexham seek to double their advantage.
