Again, another great opportunity for Northern Ireland! He might be a little bit disappointed that he didn't actually get that on the goal, but a good move and good play again by Jamal Lewis on the left hand side.

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    SO CLOSE!

Eoin Toal is inches, and I mean inches, away from giving Northern Ireland the lead.

It's worked well to Jamal Lewis out wide. His cross is right on the money and Toal is there, but his header is powerful but wide.

I agree with the guys at half-time, I would love to see Conor McMenamin, I just don't understand why he has not been playing.

  4. Postpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Jensen's corner is easily cleared by Lewis.

Northern Ireland look to break through Price but Jensen races back to cut any danger out.

Eoin Toal is forced to give away a corner as Denmark push forward again.

  6. Postpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Dion Charles does really well to slide in on Hjulmand and steal the ball off in the area.

Risky from the striker, but very effective on this occasion.

  7. Postpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Jesper Lindstrom goes down like a sack of spuds in the area but the referee swiftly waves away any half-hearted appeals.

    Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

    Jim Magilton
Former Northern Ireland midfielder on BBC Sport NI

Anytime I have seen Conor McMenamin play for Northern Ireland he has given a spark. What he does is he picks up the ball, he goes by people, he can go both ways and he's not frightened to get shots away.

  9. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

Away we go. The second half is under way and there aren't any changes.

If you're the Denmark manager, you just want to get Daramy on the ball as he is the best player on the pitch.

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

    Keith Gillespie
Former Northern Ireland winger on BBC Radio Ulster

It's just the luck of this campaign. We talk about the injuries and the lack of goals, but when luck is going for you that Charles strike comes back off the post and someone taps it in.

It was a fantastic strike, but the Danes are so comfortable on the ball and you're just thinking the goal is around the corner.

  14. HT: North Macedonia 1-0 Englandpublished at 20:43 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Elsewhere, there is a shock on the cards in Group C as North Macedonia lead England at half-time!

Enis Bardhi scored from a rebound after Jordan Pickford saved his initial penalty, which came after Rico Lewis was penalised for leading with his arm in the area.

What a result that would be for North Macedonia! Can they hang on?

Dion Charles has been looking especially lively for Northern Ireland and was inches away from putting them ahead as his shot came back off a post.

We've seen it back and he was so unlucky. The fans behind the goal thought it was in.

    John O'Neill

That's the best 45 minutes I've seen us play. They look comfortable and they have to make sure that they don't fall asleep on that right hand side as particularly Daramy on the left hand side for them, he's been their best player.

We started off really well and we're getting joy with the long balls. But for some reason now we can't seem to get to the break down and the knock down and that's stumped us a little bit and they've come into the game more.

Considering they're top of the group and we have a lot of inexperience in the team, I think everyone has to be happy at the minute. We just have to get the crowd back into it in the second half.

  17. Group H: Slovenia 1-0 Kazakhstanpublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

Elsewhere in Group H, it looks like Slovenia will be joining Denmark at the Euro 2024 finals next summer.

Red Bull Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, who was sensational against Northern Ireland, has scored from the penalty spot.

There was only one point between them heading into this one so it's winner takes all in this one (or draw takes all, in Slovenia's case).

Kazakhstan need to score twice to swing things in their favour.

  19. Can they do it?published at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

    Mark Sterling
BBC Sport NI at Windsor Park

Given how this campaign has gone for Northern Ireland, the home team have to be happy with that first half.

They have needed a few great saves from Conor Hazard to keep the scores level as Denmark have taken control of the game, but that came after a bright opening by Michael O'Neill's men.

You have to wonder how long the likes of Dale Taylor and Isaac Price will be able to keep covering the ground they are covering, but they will no doubt do it for as long as possible.

A point tonight would be at least something to cling to at the end of a dismal campaign for Northern Ireland. Can they do it?

  20. Postpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 20 November 2023

    HT: Northern Ireland 0-0 Denmark

That's high praise indeed from John O'Neill.

On second viewing, it looked like it touched off Eoin Toal and Hazard managed to hack it away with his legs.
