Changes 'about fresh legs' - Page

Wales boss Rob Page told S4C: "I think it's about fresh legs. Kieffer [Moore] put in a big shift on a tough pitch the other night.

"It's a bit unrealistic to ask him to do it again from the start. He'll definitely have an impact off the bench.

"People like Brooksy (David Brooks) will have an impact off the bench.

"They (Turkey) are top of the table for a good reason, they showed that against Germany the other night.

"We can't worry about the other result, we've just got to worry about giving a performance tonight. Full focus will be on getting the win here."

'No play-off talk'

Wales boss Rob Page has banned talk of a potential play-off with Wales still in with a chance of automatic qualification for Euro 2024.

"We're having no talk of play-offs," said Wales manager Page.

"If we're talking play-offs, we may as well call the game off on Tuesday. That's our mentality and attitude.

"The campaign is not over. We're fully focused on the job we've got and we don't want any regrets when that final whistle goes.

"We're not admitting defeat and thinking 'why not?' when it's still in our control.

"We're not thinking of the play-offs because if we win a game potentially we can qualify if the other result goes our way."

"It's difficult to say [who will win]. I've seen Wales play here at home, they stay compact, their defensive shape is very good.

"It won't be easy to break this Welsh defence down, but Turkey will try everything to score. On the other side, Wales will also try to score goals.

Wales keeping belief for Turkey finale - Davies

Captain Ben Davies has told fans not to give up hope as Wales seek a final twist in the race to the European Championship finals in 2024.

Wales need to beat already qualified Turkey in Cardiff tonight - as we've mentioned about 85 times already - and hope Croatia drop points at home to Armenia.

Otherwise Wales must go through spring play-offs, after Saturday's 1-1 draw in Armenia saw control of their automatic qualification hopes slip from their hands.

"We are not panicking as a group. We still have a chance," Davies said.

Davies, 30, will earn his 84th cap as he seeks to lead his country to a third successive European Championship.

Davies, who is leading the side in the absence of injured midfielder Aaron Ramsey, added: "We're frustrated, we'd like to be in a different position, but we are where we are.

"We can't affect that now and it's about giving all we've got in one last game and hoping things go our way.

"Playing in major tournaments for your country is the pinnacle and that dream is still there.

"Wales isn't the biggest country, we have probably punched above our weight for a long time, and when you do expectations are in front of you, people expect more out of you.

"But we're still in with a shout of qualification, it isn't doom and gloom just yet. If we don't go through now we still have a chance of the play-offs because of past success. We're not panicking as a group, we still have a chance."

All change in the Turkey dugout

Having secured their Euro 2024 spot last month courtesy of a win over Latvia, Turkey now need only a point to top the group.

Turkey have changed managers since their 2-0 win over 10-man Wales in June, with former Germany striker Stefan Kuntz making way after his side were held by Armenia.

He was replaced by former Roma striker and AC Milan manager Vincenzo Montella, who has won all three of his games in charge, including a crucial 1-0 victory in Croatia last month.

"We have come all this way to Cardiff prepared," Montella said.

"We have come here top of this group and that is the way we want to finish it.

"We want to maintain this leadership and we are focused on what we have to do, show our standing and our performance levels."

Turkey impressed in a 3-2 friendly win over Euro hosts Germany in Berlin on Saturday, a triumph which included a first international goal from Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz.

"The new manager has had an instant impact, he's slightly changed the way they play since we played them, and the result against Germany was very impressive," said Wales boss Rob Page.

"It will be a tough game, but we have a plan that will create problems for them and it will make for an entertaining game."

Page backs Wales fans after Armenia arrests

Moving away from tonight's action for a moment, manager Rob Page has given his backing to Wales' fans after more than 30 were arrested by police in Yerevan before Saturday's game in Armenia.

All of the fans were released without charge, with many saying they were detained for 12 hours without any food or water.

One fan said he was fearful for his life after being held at gunpoint by police in Armenia.

The Armenian Embassy has been asked for comment.
