'We have amazing players'
FT: Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Liverpool
Liverpool's Cody Gakpo, speaking to Sky Sports: "An important game to get through. We did our best and it was a good game in the end.
"We have a good team, we have amazing players. The only thing we have to do is stay focused and stay together and keep working hard and then the quality will come out.
"We have to keep calm and stay focused and keep going."
'I make Liverpool favourites'

Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
It's a cup competition. You win it.
They have won it many times and I make them favourites.
This is a competition they will want to go on and win and Klopp looked happy with what his team is doing. He didn't have to bring Mo Salah on but he did and he got his goal and he goes into the weekend full of confidence.

FT: Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
That's the perfect response to the goalless draw with Manchester United and the perfect way to prepare for the big game against Arsenal on Saturday.
A good few of the younger players must have played their way into a chance of retaining their place in the side against the Gunners.
'Liverpool could go and win it'
FT: Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Charlie Adam
Former Liverpool midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
That is a big win.
There is an opportunity to go on and win it. Manchester City are out of it now and they really have the chance to go and win it.
A cup tie at Anfield is special.
'Fans wanted to Nunez to score'
FT: Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
The only thing you wanted to see this evening was Nunez to get a goal. His play was good and the crowd inside the stadium wanted him to get on the scoresheet.
Liverpool were really outstanding.

The home fans are chanting "Wembley" as Liverpool breeze into the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
A night to forget for West Ham.
'Too easy for Liverpool'
Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
It's been so easy for Liverpool. They have been outstanding and the desire and hunger has been second to none.

Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Liverpool have yet another corner but the delivery from this one is cleared.
It isn't long before they win the ball back and attack again. Impressive desire to keep on scoring from the hosts here.

GOAL - Liverpool 5-1 West Ham
Curtis Jones
A wonderful run and finish!
Although West Ham's defending leaves a lot to be desired as Curtis Jones is allowed to run through the defence, into the box before tucking home a neat finish.
There were some half-hearted attempted to tackle, but the West Ham defence just opened up for that.
'That man again'
Liverpool 4-1 West Ham
Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
It's that man Mo Salah again.
There is a big gap in West Ham's defence and it's a great ball from Alexander-Arnold. Once Salah got into that position you knew what was going to happen.
The amount of goals he has scored for Liverpool, on the right, is amazing.
GOAL - Liverpool 4-1 West Ham
Mohamed Salah
But now there's no way back for West Ham!
Mohamed Salah immediately makes amends for that close-range miss with a clinical finish as he is sent through on goal and makes no mistake.
'Nunez is unlucky'
Liverpool 3-1 West Ham
Clinton Morrison
Former Republic of Ireland striker on BBC Radio 5 Live
Nunez is unlucky to be fair. He cuts inside and it is a fantastic save from Areola.
Salah is onside and it's a difficult one because the goal is gaping, and he will be annoyed not to score that.
SUBSTITUTION
Liverpool 3-1 West Ham
Danny Ings is on for West Ham, replacing Edson Alvarez.
A goal back for the Hammers would make things interesting for the final few minutes.
