  1. Relief at Anfieldpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

    Liverpool 1-1 Fulham

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Anfield

The relief is palpable around Anfield as Liverpool finally break through this determined Fulham defence.

The visitors had done well to frustrate the home side for so long, but now Liverpool are being urged on to try and take the lead.

    Curtis Jones

We're level. Curtis Jones takes a strike from the edge of the penalty area and it takes a huge deflection off Tosin Adarabioyo and it loops past Bernd Leno, who has no chance and is left wrong-footed.

Screams from the home fans wanting a penalty for a potential handball from Antonee Robinson. Not given by the referee and we don't have VAR in use tonight so that's the end of that one.

Jon: Fulham are by far and away the better team - 2 big opportunities to have a 2 goal cushion.

If you’re doing rabonas at Anfield as the away team you know you’re doing something right.

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

Bobby de Cordova-Reid should have gotten his head up.

A great spin to get into the box, if he'd lifted his head Andreas Pereira had sprinted 50 yards into the box and he would have had a tap in.

As it was he took the shot himself, showed good pace to get around Ibrahima Konate, but the shot was poor.

Fulham's Bobby de Cordova-Reid shoots at goal, but it is a good save from Caoimhin Kelleher as he pushes it away. De Cordova-Reid will have to explain himself later on as Andreas Pereira was there waiting for a square pass and a tap-in.

Great chance for Fulham to double their lead on the counter attack, but they can't take it. Could be costly.

A rabona cross from Raul Jimenez. The showboating would've looked great if it had came off. Instead the ball goes harmlessly behind for a goal kick and he's left looking a bit silly.

  8. 'Jimenez on his heels a bit there'published at 21:19 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

Brilliant work from Willian on the right hand side.

A shame for Fulham as Raul Jimenez was on his heels a bit there, if he was proactive there it could have been 2-0 to the visitors.

Liverpool have all the ball but they need to find a way to put it into the back of the net.

  9. Time for Nunez to make the difference?published at 57 mins

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Anfield

Darwin Nunez hasn't scored quite as many goals as he'd have liked yet for Liverpool but the fans still love him for his effort and determination and he gets a great reaction as he comes onto the pitch along with Cody Gakpo.

Things haven't always come off for Nunez, and this would be the moment for him to turn in a match-winning performance.

Liverpool have no doubt stepped it up but credit to Fulham, they are defending with everything they have here.

Diogo Jota with another chance for Liverpool, who have already been so much better than in the first half. But Bernd Leno saves it.

And Jurgen Klopp has made the double change we expected with Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez on for Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenberch.

  12. 'Referee taking control of the game'published at 21:13 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

Brilliant from the referee David Coote.

Taking control of this game, Andreas Pereira went down trying to slow the game again and he has told him 'If you want treatment you'll have to go off'.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid was waving to the Fulham physios that Pereira was OK but the referee has told him to go off now anyway. Not allowing any more attempts at time wasting.

Strong refereeing from David Coote as Andreas Pereira, not for the first time today, goes down and looks to waste time.

The referee orders Pereira, who looks to be fine, to go off the field for the treatment he wanted.

The home fans certainly think Fulham are already time wasting.

So much better from Liverpool at the start of this second half.

They have put Fulham onto the back foot and are pressing very high from the front.

The volume has gone up a few notches now too. You can sense that these Liverpool fans know that this is the moment where they also need to play their part.

  17. 'Fulham stifling the game is frustrating the home players and fans'published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool as a whole have struggled to come to terms with Fulham slowing the pace of things at times. They have been put under pressure at key moments, Fulham are well drilled and very well organised with what they want to do.

When Fulham have pressed, and they have done at certain moments, they have threatened Liverpool and got themselves ahead.

Since the goal they have stifled the game. They know that you can't go to Anfield and play them at their own game, so now with the advantage they are taking their time, frustrating their opponent and the home fans.

A great chance for Liverpool inside the first few minutes of the second half. Ryan Gravenberch with a fine run into the penalty area, he shoots across goal but just fires it wide.

  19. Will the Reds show more?published at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

    Liverpool 0-1 Fulham

    Gary Rose
    BBC Sport at Anfield

Liverpool were first back out onto the pitch and primed ready for kick-off while Fulham's players were still going through their warm ups.

The Reds looked a little complacent at times in the first half while Fulham were up for this from the get go.

Will Jurgen Klopp's half-time team talk prompt more from his side?

  20. Postpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 10 January

Back under way at Anfield. No changes from either side.

Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo are among the Liverpool subs if needed.
