    Great Britain’s Kristof Willerton will become the first male British gymnast to compete in 11 world championships, when he takes to the floor in Birmingham.

    The 30-year-old, who is Britain’s most decolorated male tumbling gymnast, will be joined in the men’s team by Omo Aikeremiokha, Marshall Frost, Lewis Gosling, Daniel Berridge and Jaydon Paddock.

    Two-time Olympic medallist Bryony Page will also feature, alongside 2023 British silver medallist Louise Brownsey and Laura Gallagher in the women’s trampolining team.

    In the men’s team, reigning British men’s champion Zak Perzamanos will return alongside Peter Buravytskiy, who will be making his senior world debut.

    The Utilita Arena in Birmingham will be hosting the 2023 World Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships.

    Over 40 countries consisting of 1,000 gymnasts will compete across eight days of competition.

    The event will also be the primary qualification event for the Olympic discipline of trampoline at the 2024 Paris Games.

    2022 saw Great Britain receive nine podium positions, this was the first time in the history of the World Trampoline Championships that GB reached the top of the medal table. The medals included a gold for Comfort Yates in the women’s tumbling final, men’s and women’s tumbling team gold, and all-around team gold.

    What is Trampolining & Tumbling?

    There are a number of disciplines in gymnastics, so it's highly likely there'll be one to suit your interests;

    Trampoline uses the apparatus to perform somersaults and high leaps. Performing arial tricks and magnificent air stunts.

    Tumbling is all about somersaults, flips and twists. If you enjoy doing somersaults or cartwheels, you’ll find tumbling really easy to get into – whatever age you are.

    Is it for me?

    With 15 different types of gymnastic, all with varying levels of difficulty, there is bound to be one to suit you.

    What to expect when I start?

    Gymnastics helps to improve your flexibility, balance and co-ordination as well as boosting concentration.

    Gym-fit classes are a great way to combine gymnastics with traditional fitness classes to give you an all-round workout.

    Start your kids young and help them learn motor skills with Pre-school classes.
