Sam Bird’s retirement in Sanya sees the Envision Virgin driver drop down to fourth position with season three champion Lucas Di Grassi completing the top five. The other British representatives – Oliver Rowland, Alexander Sims, Oliver Turvey and Gary Paffett – sit in 12th, 14th, 16th and 17th places respectively.

Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne won the Sanya E-Prix in China as Antonio Felix da Costa climbed to the top of the Formula E drivers' championship.
Pre-race leader Sam Bird went out early on to drop to fourth in the standings but fellow Briton Oliver Rowlands claimed his first podium in second.
The race finished under a full course yellow flag after Lucas di Grassi crashed on the final lap and then left his car, causing the flag to be waved.
Portuguese driver Da Costa finished third to take a three-point lead in the overall standings from Jerome d'Ambrosio, with Vergne and Bird eight points off the pace in third and fourth.

The championship consists of 11 teams and 22 drivers competing over 13 races, finishing with a double-header in New York.

The FIA Formula E Championship is the world’s first all-electric single seater series and is in its fifth season of competition.
The 13-race calendar started in December and will run until July, finishing with two races in two days in New York City.
A new car has been introduced this season that has a longer battery life, eliminating the need to change cars during the race, while BMW and Nissan have joined the rapidly growing list of manufacturers.
The 45-minute long races feature a number of ways to add extra excitement, with drivers able to use ‘Attack Mode’ and ‘Fan Boost’ to help overtaking while there are bonus points for pole position and fastest lap.
