    Welcome to our coverage of the Scottish hockey men's cup final between Western Wildcats and Hillhead.

    Should Western win they would have completed this season unbeaten - both the indoor and outdoor.

    Hillhead face a stern test in their cup final debut as they face Western Wildcats who have won the trophy nine times, the last in 2011.

    There is also the possibility of a league and cup doubles should Western Wildcats prevail.

    Rob Harwood, Western`s captain, knows this would be a significant victory for the club.

    "Winning the Scottish Cup means a great deal, not only to our team but to the club as a whole," he said. "Our last cup victory was in 2011 and we haven’t reached a final since. To round off what has been an excellent season completing the treble undefeated would be unbelievable."

    Hillhead captain Fraser Ward said today's final "means a lot for the club."

    It shows the club`s ambition and intentions for years to come," he added. "This team has set the precedent for future years. We know the full club is behind us."
