    The anthems are being sung and it is God Save The Queen that blasts out in Kazan as the mixed relay team stand atop the podium.

    Their world record swim gave Britain their fourth gold of the championships so far.

    He has just won his third gold but the mother of double world gold medallist Adam Peaty has been embarrassing him on BBC Radio 5 live.

    "Adam wouldn't sit down in the bath or stand under the shower. He'd just use to scream," Caroline Peaty said, referring to her wee boy's formative years.

    "My friend then took him to go swimming as I couldn't because it would break my heart as he would just scream. But after a week he got used to it."

    The record breakers are Chris Walker-Hebborn, Adam Peaty, Fran Halsall and Siobhan-Marie O'Connor.

    Britain's Stephen Milne finishes seventh in the men's 800m freestyle final won by Sun Yang of China.

  5. Wallace through to final

    World Aquatics Championships

    Britain's Daniel Wallace is through to the men's 200m individual medley final after finishing second in his semi-final.

    Roberto Pavoni faces a swim-off for a place in the final after recording the joint eighth fastest time in the semis.

    Britain's Hannah Miley finishes last in 200m butterstroke semi-finals in Kazan.

    Miley, 25, used the race to prepare for her main event, the 400m individual medley later in the week.

  7. Peaty wins gold

    World Aquatic Championships

    Britain's Adam Peaty wins gold in the men's 50m breaststroke in 26.51 seconds.

    It is the 20-year-old's second title the championships after taking gold in the men's 100m breaststroke on Monday.

    He is the first man to hold both world titles.
