News of Murray's father-in-law Nigel Sears - Sears collapsed while watching his charge Ana Ivanovic play Madison Keys over on Rod Laver but is apparently sitting up in hospital and undergoing tests. We wish him well. The latest score in that match is 5-3 to Keys in the deciding set, the American has won five games in a row. And with that, I will say good night or good morning or whatever it is where you are.

Murray will have an Australian for company in the fourth round, Bernard Tomic and John Millman fight for the right to play the Scot this evening.

Sousa puts a forehand long to make it 30-15 to Murray and hands the Scot two match points with an errant backhand. Sousa goes long with a moon ball on the retreat and Murray moves into week two and the fourth round.

Murray with a lithe smash for a break before Sousa comes over all Nadal of old, eventually clinching the hold with a forehand winner after some magnificent baseline hitting.   

Comfortable hold from Murray, to love. Nothing much more to add.

Not sure if you can see this or not but I shall tap away regardless. Sousa bunts a backhand long to hand Murray a break point but the Portuguese pulls out a plum of a forehand down the line to save. Smash for advantage before Murray levels things up with a cross-court forehand winner. Murray nets with a forehand before fending a backhand return wide, Sousa holds.
