16:49 BST 20 August 2021The World Triathlon Championship Series is a fantastic opportunity to see the very best in the sport, including Olympic, World and European champions compete for the chance to be crowned the best triathlete in the world.
This year’s series began in the Japanese city of Yokohama on 15 May and culminates in the Championship Finals in Edmonton, Canada on 21-22 August.
Each race of the series leading up to the Finals in Edmonton - plus the summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan - award up to 1000 ranking points.
Points from the second half of the year’s re-scheduled Bermuda and Abu Dhabi events will all count towards the 2022 rankings.

16:37 BST 20 August 2021Alex Yee: Alex cemented his place as a championship contender when he picked up an Olympic gold medal in the mixed relay and a silver medal in the men's triathlon. He has developed a habit of running a sub 14-min 5k so will be one to watch during the running leg.
Grant Sheldon: Grant won the World University Games triathlon in 2016 and helped GB win the team title. His best World Triathlon result was third in Karlovy Vary in August 2019.
Tom Bishop: Tom was part of England's Commonwealth's team in 2018 and has one silver medal in World Series races (in Abu Dhabi in 2017).

Beth Potter: Beth was a long-distance runner, competing in the 10,000m at Rio 2016, before transitioning to Triathlon. She won the Super League Triathlon Arena Games event in London earlier in 2021, and recently did a 5k in 14:41.
Sian Rainsley: Sian began triathlon at the age of just seven and has won medals at European junior and U23 level, including winning silver at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
Sophie Coldwell: Sophie has represented Team England at the Commonwealth Games and achieved several medal-winning performances in World and European Championships.
Vicky Holland: Vicky has had a career filled with success, she was an Olympic bronze medallist at the 2016 Rio Olympic games and a two time world champion in the mixed relay.
