  1. Who to look out forpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 10 September 2022

The men’s race features a star-studded line up from the world of triathlon. The top three from the Tokyo Olympics are all starting, namely Norway’s Kristian Blummenfelt, New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde, and British star Alex Yee.

Wilde is number one in the world at the moment and also has the Super League Triathlon Championship title under his belt, but you should never ignore the unbelievable running power that Yee possesses. And if Yee wins it, he’ll be the first British male world champion in 10 years.

Also in the men’s race is the one and only Jonathan Brownlee, using this event as part of his prep for Paris 2024. Keep an eye out for fellow Brits Sam Dickinson, Grant Sheldon and Jack Willis.

The best triathletes in the world go head to head, racing for five teams - the sharks, rhinos, scorpions, cheetahs and eagles. Munich sees the first outing for the Enduro in 2022.

The Enduro is considered the most brutal format of all. Requiring endurance and tactics, the Enduro is a non-stop burst of nine back-to-back triathlon disciplines without any breaks. The easiest way to think about it is swim-bike-run repeated continuously three times in a row, or over three Stages.
